Clearly, one of the challenges of playing any sport exists the exposure. The showcase gives players an opportunity for that with Prep Dig scouts either at the event or watching via Baller TV.

As an example, many players from the class of 2028 such as [player_tooltip player_id='587876' first='Ariana' last='White'], [player_tooltip player_id='554770' first='Rujuta' last='Singh'], [player_tooltip player_id='550688' first='Sienna' last='Mitchell'], [player_tooltip player_id='536728' first='Lalah' last='Washington'], [player_tooltip player_id='587884' first='Charlotte' last='Dittmar'] and [player_tooltip player_id='588468' first='Bella' last='Chen'] were voted top performers at the frosh showcase on August 3. They all proved their worth as top performers at the event by making their varsity high school team as frosh. There was also a player from Savannah Georgia, Ellie Ayala, who also earned a top performer award. She also made her varsity team (second on the team in kills, assists and blocks).

With the older age group there always appear some new names on the top performer list that I have yet to see play. [player_tooltip player_id='525341' first='Genevieve' last='Willis'], [player_tooltip player_id='483129' first='Louise' last='Z Atiz'], [player_tooltip player_id='530280' first='Lora' last='Totcheva'] and [player_tooltip player_id='438086' first='Emmeri' last='Bishop'] were new discoveries from the showcase. Later, they all made appearances in our DMV rankings based on their performance at the showcase.

The exposure can also be an opportunity to advance in the rankings. [player_tooltip player_id='475397' first='Amaya' last='Bowles'], [player_tooltip player_id='490057' first='Avery' last='Lefman'], [player_tooltip player_id='491007' first='Ana' last='Djordjevic'], [player_tooltip player_id='448705' first='Danika' last='Swanson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='390338' first='Rachel' last='Fagin'] won top performer awards making their second Prep Dig appearance. They attended but fell short of the award during the first Prep Dig Showcase.

The event coordinator Alexis Calloway ran the last Prep Dig showcases in August. Prep Dig names her as the event coordinator at these two events. At the end of the Rockville showcases she offered the girls an opportunity to ask questions on the college recruitment process. She carries a wealth of information on the subject. It would benefit the players by staying after the showcase to hear what she has to say.

The most requests I receive from parents is the invite to watch their daughter play. This past Tuesday close to 500 teams played a volleyball match in the DMV area. I can only watch two of those teams play. This event creates an opportunity for a Prep Dig scout to see your daughter play rather than wait for them to attend an event. Hope to see you there. If you have any questions you can always contact me.
