Arianna won a top performer award at our frosh showcase. Her performances at Sidwell Friends does not get her a lot of attention. Last year she led the team in kills. This year she only played the first two matches, accumulating 35 kills before her season ended.

Not that this would normally earn you a bump up in the rankings. Now though, it appears she will play with Metro 16 travel which last year won the National Division at the USAV Junior National championships.

While this is a great opportunity for her, she has three very good pin hitters ranked ahead of her who also play for the team. No official rosters have been posted yet by Metro but they seem to have dominated the top ten in the class of 2028. Our next post will talk about that.

Ariana moved up from 15 to 10 in the ranking.

Currently she stands 6’0″. It would not surprise me to see a couple more inches of growth. She already hits rockets from the left side. The A Division of the Independent School League (ISL) voted her to the first team all conference, one of two frosh voted to the team. She also earned a top performer award at our Prep Dig frosh showcase.

Ariana will suit up for Virginia Juniors 15 in the Capitol Hill Classic. They rank fifth in the Chesapeake Region.
