Ana is the third highest ranked libero in the DMV area for the class of 2027. The only two liberos ranked higher than her are Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year Laila Chadwick Laila Chadwick 5'8" | DS/L/OH James Madison | 2027 State #46 Nation VA , who has committed to Oklahoma and Camryn Coulther Camryn Coulther 5'6" | DS/L Riverside | 2027 State VA , who has committed to Virginia. Laila will play in Open with Metro while Camryn will also play in the National Division with Virginia Juniors.

Another libero Diane Nzoupet Diane Nzoupet 5'3" | DS/L Westfield | 2028 State VA who belongs to the class of 2028 but plays up with Paramount 17 in the Open was the first DMV player to commit (Georgia). Ana plays the libero position about as good as her older sister Ema Djordjevic hit outside when she played for MVSA. Ema won the Maryland Gatorade player of the year award last year. She is currently playing for UMBC. MVSA sometimes gets overlooked by college scouts.

If there is an uncommitted player to watch among all the DMV players my attention would turn to Ana Djordjevic Ana Djordjevic 5'7" | DS/L/S Richard Montgomery | 2027 State VA , especially if you are looking for someone to cover the back row. The whole team is filled with players who have yet to commit so even if you are not looking for a libero perhaps you have a need for a 6’3″ right side in Siyena Fitsum Siyena Fitsum 6'3" | MB Churchill | 2027 State VA . Oodles of uncommitted talent on this team.

Her older sister also won Maryland Gatorade player of the year last year. Ana lacks the height of her sister to play outside but she does not lack the skills to play the libero position. As great a teammate as she is a player on the court, as evidence by her being selected as one of three captains. She is the only non senior among the three.

Her libero/defensive specialist play has led Richard Montgomery to two Maryland state championships. MVSA will play in the National Division in Junior Nationals.

The one constant with Ana is her passing and defensive skill allow the teams she plays for to run their offense with success.

Talent seems to surround her. Or perhaps she makes that talent perform. She is the backbone of the Richard Montgomery team that had won back to back Maryland state championships. This past year the streak was broken as they were upset in the quarterfinals.

A true team player with an excellent attitude on and off the court.

Ana is enjoying her time to shine now after her sister moved on to college ball. Her HS is always a threat with her there, she’s quite the DS. Good range, solid platform and serve receive, great passing, I’ve never had anything but good things to say after I’ve seen her play. She’s going to be in demand in these big tournaments, with so many of the big guns out there, there are going to be a lot of hard hit balls to play, and for MVSA to have a shot at the bid, they’ll need her to lead the way.
