The athlete who rises above the rest and garners the most votes will be honored as our Player of the Week. Meet the Nominees
Gracie recorded her 1500th career kill and 1000 career dig. In leading the Galena Pirates to their tenth straight regional title.
Highlights
As DCHS's varsity Libero, Maura broke the school's season record for digs (352) with 357 digs! She also lead the Fox Valley Conference in digs, as well as digs per set!
Highlights
Helped lead her team to their first state title in program history. They dropped only 1 set in the 5 matches of state play. A six rotation outside hitter that compiled 71 kills, received 59 serves, had 42 digs, 8 assists, and 7 blocks. She was also perfect from the service line through 32 attempts with 2 aces. She was recognized with all-state tournament team honors. The team ended with an outstanding record of 43-2.
Highlights
Riley is a six-rotation outside hitter. She has started on varsity for two years. She led her team and her league (Sunflower League) this year in kills (416) and aces (72). This past weekend, she helped lead her team to a back-to-back Kansas 6A State Championships! She was named to the Kansas Volleyball Association All-Tournament Team and was named the Academy Sports Player of the Match by NFHS Network. In the championship match where her team was the lower seed, she led both team in kills (13), aces (2), passed a 2.62 (highest SR rating by either team), and led both teams with 16 digs.

As senior broke her own Junior single season school record in digs with 466 digs.
Ended her career at Lees Summit High School with following school records:
466 digs - single season record
1st player in school history to record 1,000 career digs
1291 career digs - school record
563 receptions - single season record (junior yr)
1750 career receptions - school record
366 career sets played - school record
Also 1st team all district and 1st team all conference as Junior and Senior.
4 yr Academic All State Volleyball
Highlights
35 kills and 7 blocks 1 ace on 10/24 for the district game then followed up with 30 kills and 3 blocks and 3 aces to win the district finals. Then had 26 kills and 5 blocks and 3 aces to win sectionals to send her team to state!! Danielle has had an incredible run to carry her to team to the Missouri state (final 4). She is a right side that plays all the way around.
Prep Dig article states "Danielle has one of the best-hitting years I've seen in a while. She has 616 kills, and hitting .295 is ridiculous. I've watched teams cheat on her and build mountains to stop her. You can't! She is a force at the opposite. She can hit over, around, and through you if necessary. Watch Danielle this week because she's going to get a ton of attempts and kills."

Kaydence had 74 kill's in 12 sets, during week 8.
She had 6.17 kills per set
She gad 25 Digs, 2.08 digs per set, 36 Receptions, 3 receptions per set,
3 Assists, 6 Aces and 4 Blocks
Kaydence is a 6 rotation player, can set and is great in the back row.
Kaydence is a leader on her teams and keeps a positive and kind attitude on the court, while being aggressive as an OH. Kaydence strive to be a strong player, every play, of every set.

During the Northern Nevada Regional Semi-Finals, Lily Beckwith compiled a career high in 28 kills and .512 hitting %, plus 5 Aces, 17 serve receives and 19 digs with no errors to help defeat McQueen H.S. 3-1. In the Regional Finals vs. Reno H.S. she compiled a match-leading 19 kills plus 5 Aces, 1 block, 2 assists, 13 digs, and 12 serve receives to help her team win the NIAA Northern NV Regional Final.

Elizabeth York, who delivered an outstanding performance in the game that propelled our team to the district finals. With a remarkable .400 hitting percentage, Elizabeth was a key force at the net, consistently contributing to the team's offense and defense. Her precision and timing were pivotal in maintaining offensive pressure, while her energy and leadership inspired her teammates throughout the match.
As a middle blocker, Elizabeth's presence was felt in all areas of the game—whether it was her quick reflexes at the net, her strong blocking skills, or her ability to stay focused under pressure. Beyond her stats, her positive attitude and work ethic have made her an invaluable team player. Elizabeth always brings a high level of energy and enthusiasm, lifting the team during crucial moments and leading by example both on and off the court.
Her dedication and determination played a major role in helping the team advance to the district finals and clenching their 8th straight district title. Elizabeth's consistent hard work and team-first mentality make her a standout player and we can't wait to see her continue to lead us as we move forward.

As a junior Camille took her team to their first regional game in over 5 years. Two weeks ago during senior night and got her 1000th assist to senior Addison Edelin. Then this week she led her team running a 5/1 past Harrisonburg in 4 sets. She recorded 40 assists, 7 kills, 15 digs and 2 aces.
Highlights
OH-Ava Stuebs led Manitowoc Lutheran to 5 set victories in both their Sectional Semi-final and Sectional final games, earning the team a State run for the first time since 2009! Ava posted 31 kills, 12 digs, and 5 aces, upsetting the #1 ranked team in the Division, Living Word Lutheran, on October 31st. Ava then posted 27 kills against the #3 ranked team in the division, Heritage Christian, on November 2nd. Her strong 6 rotation play, including her back row kills, and leadership, helped seal Manitowoc Lutheran's shot at a State Championship.
