Here's the thing about personal achievements – no one can take them away.

Is the difference between 50 kills or 25 assists determining who gets a college scholarship and who doesn't? Not at all, but stats and personal achievements are still a measuring stick and the “achievement” aspect is what the attention should be on.

If an athlete reaches 1,000 career kills then that achievement can not be taken away from that athlete. She can tell stories forever about her accomplishment and it becomes a part of that person's history.

As I continue to share different statistical achievements from the Class of 2027, I felt like it was important to reiterate why stats matter and why at times they don't.

No college coach will read this report and use it as the sole reason to offer a scholarship to an athlete. However, seeing a name on Prep Dig can spark a coach's interest and begin a new recruiting relationship

This is not an all-inclusive list as some teams do not post public stats. Stats for this report were found on Max Preps. Also, I did not include athletes with missing information in their Max Preps profiles.

Cheers, to members of the 300-kill club from the Kansas Class of 2027.
