As we wrap up 2024, we will do our last 15-18's College Prep Elite VCN team. As we enter 2025 we will take a look at the VCN Black teams as well. This team has some new faces and some returning faces from the 2024 USAV National Qualifier 14 Elite team. Many of these athletes have had a year of high school under their belt and in the 15's age division the skill level really increases and athletes and teams start to separate. Here is a look at VCN's 15 Elite:

Let's start off with talented pin hitters. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='737394' first='Sydnie' last='Cain'] hammered 369 kills in Standing Bear's inaugural varsity competition year. She shows great leadership potential on the floor and look for her to continue to improve and grow. Cain is long, athletic and explosive. Look for her to be the go to pin for Elite.

Another freshman who made a big impact in Class B this past season is Outside [player_tooltip player_id='593775' first='Ava' last='Janulewicz']. The Class of 2028 hitter had 369 kills in her freshman debut for the Grand Island Northwest Vikings this past season. She also chipped in 54 ace serves and 284 digs. She is strong, explosive and does a great job of getting on top of the ball and having a high contact point. Janulewicz is a complete six rotation player. Her varsity experience will prove valuable for Elite this year.

Bishop Neuman's [player_tooltip player_id='568816' first='Kyler' last='Cada'] is explosive and athletic in the pin position. She has a heavy arm and has the ability to tool shot off the block. Cada had 290 kills and nearly matched that in digs with 276 for the Cavaliers this past season. Really love how well she transitions and is patient on the pin with her timing. A very physically strong hitter!

5 '10 " [player_tooltip player_id='702898' first='Elizabeth' last='Luebbe'] is a versatile hitter who can hit out of the middle like she did for Aurora this year, or can be a pin hitter as she is listed on VCN's roster this season. Luebbe had 77 total blocks for the Huskies this year and 132 kills. She has long levers and will be great at either position. Her ceiling is high with her length and versatility.

Ofeleia Ramirez-Rousseau from Lincoln Pius the X and Anna Bauer will hold down the middle for Elite. Ofeleia does a great job of hitting deep zone 1 shots and can hit cross body shots efficiently. Anna is a 5'11” Middle from Giltner that will provide a strong block for Elite. Looking forward to seeing what she can do this club season!

Freshman Setter [player_tooltip player_id='571950' first='Adeline' last='Hunnicutt'] had a breakout year for Nebraska Christian. Hunnicutt had 725 set assists for the 21-10 Eagles. She has a great serve and led her team with 54 ace serves this past season. She has great soft hands and can get the ball distributed nicely to all of the firepower at the net. [player_tooltip player_id='575244' first='Violet' last='Sumner'] is also listed as a setter and does a great job of playing floor defense. She also has a nice line drive serve.

Karsyn Vejraska is a 2029 player who has great hands and a high volleyball IQ. She sees the floor well and will be able to dish the ball with ease. Last year Hunnicutt and Vejraska ran a 6-2 for 14 Elite.

Makinley Ramsey, another 2029 player and 2028 [player_tooltip player_id='774597' first='Reese' last='Pedersen'] will be holding down the passing and defensive duties for Elite. Pedersen had 281 digs for the Standing Bear Grizzlies this past fall. She plays great floor defense and has a great serve as she racked up 46 ace serves for the Grizzlies. Ramsey also has a difficult serve and her strength is her ability to read on defense. She is quick on the floor too!

15 Elite will start out with Power League on January 19th. It should be a great season for Elite! Looking forward to seeing young and upcoming talent on the court!
