G’s Houston Top 250 Expo Productive Right Sides

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Some of the most talented prospects in the Houston area made their way to the [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'] training facilities, in Spring, last Sunday, to join us at the stop of the Prep Dig Top 250 Expo in H-Town.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It was a very fun morning, with plenty of talented and hard-working players giving their best on the court and nailing the drills. I was following the action closely and am now reporting on the prospects that caught my eye for their strong play and competitive mindset. She wasn't necessarily the most physical or powerful hitter, but did an excellent job of scoring points and avoiding errors. A lefty, McKnight got off the floor very well and was able to find nice angles with her swings. Her offense was among the best in the gym thanks to her excellent court vision and her variety of shots. On many occasions, opposing blockers thought they had Olvera just for her to make a last-second move and hit the ball a few inches off the block to score. When left-side hitters play on the right, they tend to lose power and get a little bit more cautious with their swings, but that definitely wasn't the case with Reed, who kept hammering the ball wherever she was. A six-footer, she was always in a good position to swing and didn't hold anything back, overpowering opponents to put the ball down. Reed also displayed excellent ball control, especially in serve-receive, when she played on the left, proving to be an extremely well-rounded player.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
