NorCal Top 250 Expo: Middles and Oppos Ready for the Next Level

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prepdig Nevada may not have been on-site, but we were fully tuned into the recent NorCal Top 250 Expo LIVE through BallerTV. This event brought out a very impressive group of talented athletes, and it was a privilege to watch them crush our fast-paced drills and team competitions. She slayed in drills, but really proved her talent is elite during the fast-paced team competitions. She was very aggressive at the net, consistently swinging each time she got the opportunity to hit. In the rare occasion that she did get blocked, she persevered the very next play when set again, earning a kill by hitting the right or left corners. I got the opportunity to see her defend the net at a high level, putting up roofs against some of the toughest hitters at the showcase. Not only is Woods a dominant middle blocker, but she also impressed with her passing skills. Once the team competitions kicked off, she kept impressing with some tough attacks that were nearly impossible to block. Defending a lefty is always tricky, and Jorie took full advantage of those 1-on-1 or no-blocker situations, slamming the ball down with power. I got to watch her play both outside and right side, and she was just as aggressive and powerful in each spot. Her approach is solid, and she catches the ball really high, getting a huge snap on it and smashing it down hard. A lot of her attacks were just too strong to stop, earning her tons of kills in the team competitions. On defense, she's got quick feet, and her swing is all power. She racked up a few blocks, masterfully turning the ball back into the court instead of getting tooled. Whenever short balls dropped in the middle or off the block, she was consistently there to help her teammates, diving when necessary to keep the play alive. A setter who can hit is a dual threat, and she definitely didn't go unnoticed.
