Sophomore Setters Heating Up the Iowa Top 250 Expo Vol. 1

<p>The sophomore setters at the expo were quite impressive. Many of them could play multiple positions and often did at the expo. They are all smart with great hands and can move the ball around the court quickly and with purpose. Haller has great speed on the court and gets to and under a ball so fast that no potential is wasted. She has a great platform, soft hands, and can move the ball around to all of her hitters anywhere on the court. Caffery is a dedicated setter with her eye always on the ball. She is athletic and quick which makes it easy for her to get around the floor to the ball. She is always ready to move and does not miss a beat while setting. She has a great backset and she is a joy to watch perform on the court.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='730417' first='Gracyn' last='Adams']</h2>   <p>Adams is a 5'10" setter from Ankeny High School. Adams is amazing! She is a high-flying hitter, a back-row digger, an ace-bringing server, and a great setter. She really is the full package and she is probably going to go to a college fast, so if I were a coach I would pick her up as soon as I could. She is so athletic and has a great vertical. She has an amazing platform and hits the ground fast to get the ball before it hits it. She has soft, stong hands and can move the ball around to all of her hitters with ease. She is a joy to watch and I cannot wait to see her development through the rest of her high school career.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='730376' first='Addison' last='Theobald']</h2>   <p>Theobald is a 5'8" setter from Dowling Catholic High School. Theobald is a great right-side hitter as well as a wonderful setter. She has great hands and a lot of power behind her sets meaning she can get the ball across the court before her opponents' side of the net can get ready for her hitters. Vanden Hull got a shout-out at the expo for being court-aware, having awesome hands, and a high volleyball IQ which was showcased by her smart plays on the court. She has a great platform, moves the ball with ease, and serves like a dream. Wolfswinkel has such a nice, high arch to her sets that it gives a hitter time to move and approach how they want like so that they can get a kill easily. She has a lot of power in her arms and shoulders and that makes her sets look beautiful on the court. They go so far and fast and it is truly impressive. She has a great platform, can dig, hit, and block with ease.</p>
