Uncommitted 2025 Prospects to Watch (Vol. 1)

As the 2024 club season kicks off, we are excited to highlight a ton of talented athletes from the Pacific Northwest. To start, we will focus on the athletes from the class of 2025 who are entering their final club season uncommitted.   We look forward to seeing where these highlighted athletes will choose to continue their careers for the next four years.    Hill has been a fun athlete to watch develop these past four seasons. The 6-1 outside hitter has evolved into one of Oregon's best for the class of 2025. She has learned how to harness her heavy arm and power when swinging, looking more refined and in control. Her ball control and ability to play the backcourt have also improved significantly. Hill exudes a humble confidence and leads with a steady presence. Still uncommitted, this top-10 recruit is an athlete who would be a major get for any college program.     Schnell is a talented setter who has been impressive to watch come into her own over the past four years. With top-notch ball-handling skills, she hustles all over the court to get her hands on the ball. She has a natural hand strength that allows her to move the ball from pin to pin. She can set different tempos to establish a solid offensive system along the net. Her athleticism shines through on the court, especially when watching her play in the front row, playing much bigger than 5-7. As the #2 setter in the class, she would be an excellent pickup to any college program!     Hildenbrand has settled into the DS/L role over the past two years, which has allowed her to reach new heights. She reads the game well, which coupled with her fast defensive reaction, allows for a lot of productive defensive touches. She also has an aggressive jump float that drops. I was fortunate enough to have coached Jeryn at the high school level her freshman season and can attest to her fiery and competitive spirit that shines through on the court. Whichever program signs Hildenbrand is a lucky one.     Crawford is a skilled setter who has been a joy to watch as she has developed and refined her abilities over the last four seasons. With a quick release on the ball, she makes the toughest of sets look effortless, distributing the ball to the pins with ease. She doesn't hesitate to move the ball around and engage with all of her attackers. She establishes her middles early on and continues to involve them in the offense. She would be a great asset to any college program!     Having had the privilege of being a part of Wagstaff's volleyball career since 6th grade, to see her blossom into one of the state's most dominant right-side attackers has been fun to witness. Wagstaff has undoubtedly not hit her full potential yet; the progress she's made in recent months is a clear indication of the further growth still to come. She puts up a huge block, reading the opponent and tracking well to shut them down. As an attacker, she has a heavy left arm and has developed a lot of shots and angles. She is also the ultimate teammate and a fiercely positive force on the court.
