Prolific Texas Right Sides at the Sunshine Classic

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The club volleyball national qualifying season continues at full pace as teams from all over the country look to book their spots in the USA Volleyball Girls National Championship, which will be held in Dallas, between the end of June and the start of July.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This week, Florida will be the destination of many as the teams from around the country will be in action in the second week of the prestigious Sunshine Classic National Qualifier, at the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Many Texas teams will make the trip to compete in the Open divisions of the tournament in the 15s, 16s and 17s age groups and we're previewing the event by featuring some of the top Texas prospects who will be on the court. She will be one of the best options to score points of the weekend, standing at six feet and having the ability to get really powerful swings out of her right arm. Schirm-Moolman does a great job of timing her approach and going for the ball with a lot of energy. When up at the net, she doesn't hold anything back, but is also very good at finding gaps in the block to exploit. She's an excellent blocker, who does a great job of reading opposing pin hitters and shutting them down with her aggressive play above the net. The right side hitter is also very productive offensively, getting off the floor well and swinging with power and precision to beat blockers and defenders. A lefty with massive length and excellent court vision, she's one of the top offensive players in the state in her age group, making contact with the ball at a very high point and finding sharp angles for her swings. Hickman is also a lockdown blocker, who covers a lot of space with her long right arms at the net and is excellent at making last-second moves to shut opponents down.
