We are officially half way through the 2025 club scene. Courts are stacked with talent across all the age groups. Skills are improving, players are making highlight reels, and college coaches are actively recruiting. I have been watching several 2028s for months now and have kept tabs on many. The following 2028 not only impressive, but have clearly been consistently working on their skills, improving from one tournament to the next, and continuing to rise as stars in the volleyball circuit.

I have seen Wirkus play a number of times and she keeps getting better and better. She definitely knows how to explode to the pin and deliver hard cross and line shots. However, I have seen her increase the range of her shots by throwing in some off speed and tips as well. Her passing game has also grown in consistency and she definitely knows how to put up a big block. Landing at 13 in the OH hitting rankings, I only expect this to go up for her over the course of the next several months.

Hazel is headed for the big time. I watched her play this past weekend at the Queen of the Quad and to say I was impressed is an understatement. Schluckebier probably sets one of the cleanest balls with tempo that I have seen in her age group. She moves quickly, jump sets with ease, and has a quick release that makes it hard for defenders to read her. This lefty is also a big time attacker and can throw down setter dumps or hit from the right pin. Both are lethal. I am sure she is already on many coaches radar and they are waiting patiently to snag her up in a couple of years.

Brown is a 6 rotation outside that plays up a year on Central Illinois 16u team. Brown has a wide array of shots and can easily terminate by going cross, line, roll, and power tipping. Brown also is solid on serve receive which is usually the crutch for young 2028s. However, she is seeing some serious serving and handling it well in the 16s circuit. Brown has a big future in front of her and will be fun to keep tabs on her as she continues to grow and develop her game.

[player_tooltip player_id='586402' first='Harper' last='Tengblad'] deserves some serious recognition as a rising star. As a 2028, this outside hitter is playing up 2 age levels and killing it in the 17s division. Tengblad can not only terminate with power but she is a crafty attacker. She has learned to read the block in front of her and understands how to use her opponents hands to score, go around the block, or go up and over the block to generate kills. She has also developed some highly effective off speed shots that score her numerous points. The game exposure she is getting at such a young age is only going to help her continue to grow her game. I will be following this player (as are many others) over the next few years.

Jahimiak is a 2028 outside hitter with a ton of potential. She has an explosive approach, power, quick arm swing, and the ability to adjust her body mid-stride to terminate any ball that is sent her way. The range and reach she has at such a young age is quite impressive. I have seen her play a couple of times and am quite impressed with her ability to adapt to the block in front of her. Jahimiak has the potential to be a big time recruit as she continues to develop her game over the next couple of years.

Mullally is a 6 rotation outside that brings many weapons to the game. She is an explosive attacker that can hit a wide array of shots including taking big swings on the out of system balls with much power and force. I love her court awareness and ability to read the floor. She knows where the open spots are goes for them. Mullally's ability to read at the net is also impressive. She reads the setter well, has clean, quick footwork, and puts up a big block. Mullally is going to be heavily recruited in the next year and a half and I can't wait to see where she lands.
