We've already completed a Power League trilogy, and more teams are rising.

The 2025 club season is approaching a crucial stretch. A stacked slate of national qualifiers is on the horizon, and teams will compete for coveted GJNC bids across the divisional spectrum. Regional events like the Midwest Power League offer a perfect venue to hone skills, get quality reps, and experiment with alternate lineups. Our third iteration of this year's Power League gave us all three of these prevailing themes--and a list of big winners, too.

Here are some top-performing squads making big strides after a successful March outing.

Premier Nebraska 16 Gold

This group is gaining steam with every high-level rep.

Premier Nebraska 16 Gold rolled to a 4-0 record in 18 Open, a division loaded with squads from around the age ladder. This wasn't an ordinary championship run, either. 16 Gold didn't drop a set all day.

We've seen a continuation of the momentum this team built at Triple Crown NIT last month. [player_tooltip player_id='458124' first='Gracie' last='Lauenstein'] and [player_tooltip player_id='458123' first='Hallie' last='Lauenstein'] are high-impact additions to the pins. 16 Gold's dynamic lineup features a wealth of terminators with takeover potential: [player_tooltip player_id='458153' first='Lyric' last='Judson'], [player_tooltip player_id='458163' first='Erin' last='Cramer'], and [player_tooltip player_id='575234' first='Koco' last='Janssen'], to name a few.

Nebraska Elite 17 Blasters

Let's give a nod to the undisputed champions of the 17 Club division.

Nebraska Elite 17 Blasters pushed past Nebraska D-League, Nebraska Juniors, and one of their fellow Nebraska Elite squads to claim the 17 Club title. It's no surprise for a group that also had a solid weekend at the ASICS President's Day Classic.

This team has the perfect medley of ball control and firepower. [player_tooltip player_id='464933' first='Kambry' last='Kachaturian'] and [player_tooltip player_id='518595' first='Justina' last='Cronin'] are reliable contributors to the ball control phase. This allows [player_tooltip player_id='518600' first='Julia' last='Perrotto'], [player_tooltip player_id='349419' first='Blair' last='Boehlke'], and [player_tooltip player_id='276194' first='Audrey' last='Bassett'] to thrive along the net. Any of these players can also pitch in to help a stingy defense for 17 Blasters.

Premier Nebraska 16 Black

Playing up an age group in 17 Open did not deter Premier Nebraska 16 Black from finding big victories.

16 Black took down a trio of 17s squads to win the 17 Open crown in Lincoln. This is the same core group that clinched an early GJNC bid as 15s in Minneapolis.

The roster is stacked with players who have already compiled serious accolades. [player_tooltip player_id='503568' first='Makenna' last='Sanders'] is back to her typical form on the outside after winning a state championship with Papillion-La Vista South. We've also watched [player_tooltip player_id='505788' first='Addison' last='Cahow'] and [player_tooltip player_id='774904' first='Tess' last='Solomon'] flourish into an exceptional setter duo, with Solomon also taking big swings as a frontcourt opposite.

Club Legacy 17 Alpha

Let's stick with another contender from the 17 Open group.

Club Legacy 17 Alpha has been on our radar for a while. We watched this group in the season-opening Power League, and they just notched a runner-up finish in Power League No. 3. [player_tooltip player_id='349464' first='Annabella' last='Suljuzovic'] and [player_tooltip player_id='396744' first='Helen' last='Simpson'] have been breakout performers while playing a variety of positions along the net. [player_tooltip player_id='396745' first='Addison' last='Janke'] runs the show at the setter spot.

[program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] 15 Black

Last year's [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] 15 Black group made serious waves toward the end of the club campaign. We might have another contender in the next wave of 15s.

15 Black challenged itself in the 16 Open division and came out on top with wins over Nebraska Juniors and Nebraska Elite. This group is meshing well with pin hitters like [player_tooltip player_id='774612' first='Braylyn' last='Wood'], Zaiah Anson, and [player_tooltip player_id='774609' first='Alexis' last='Valish'] finding success. [player_tooltip player_id='625558' first='Eva' last='Gutz'] anchored the defense at Sunday's Power League, and Taegan Weber logged an impressive day at the setter spot.
