We have plenty of fond memories of Sanders bursting onto the scene this spring. She was a game-changer in the Premier Nebraska gym and helped her team clinch a bid to USAV Nationals. That was the prelude to another breakout tenure with Papillion-La Vista South on the high school side. Sanders finished third on the team’s overall kill tally and added ten in Papio South’s title sweep over Elkhorn South. The Titans keep developing well-rounded outside hitters who can do it all, and Sanders will add to that growing list of athletes.

Sanders, like Bornschlegl, was already part of our original Top 25 in the Class of 2027 rankings. Her exceptional club campaign with Premier Nebraska 15 Black put this left-side hitter on our radar right away. However, Sanders made further strides with Papio South and helped the Titans add another trophy to the case. She put down 2.5 kills per set this year and could swing at whatever ball she was given. Sanders’ next step is to become a six-rotation force akin to so many past Papio South standouts.

What a year for this top-tier terminator. Sanders was basically an unknown for us heading into 2024, but she has captured our attention now. She led Premier Nebraska 15 Black to an NLQ title back in January and never looked back. We rarely see such a fluid, technically sound attacker at the 15s level. Sanders gets off the floor quickly, has tremendous footwork, and delivers a heavy ball that few teams can defend. 15 Black is a frontrunner for the Nationals crown, and this left-side hitter will play a big part in that effort.

Sanders brings an absolute cannon on the left side. You could argue she was the most valuable attacker in NLQ’s 15 USA division, especially after Premier 15 Black clinched its well-earned title in the division. This club season offered our first look at Sanders, and we’re prepared to elevate her into our initial rankings based on what we’ve seen.

If there’s a 15s team that has given us the greatest learning experience so far, it’s Premier Nebraska 15 Black. It all started with the team’s 15 USA championship at January’s Northern Lights Qualifier. That led to a major growth opportunity at Triple Crown NIT, where 15 Black’s familiar stars rose to the forefront. Sanders is firmly in that group with double-digit kills seeming like an easy feat in any given match. Her range and crosscourt heat are difficult to stop, and Sanders will propel herself into the watch list before long.
