The 2028 Watchlist was added last fall and consisted of 25 names. A month or so ago, Minnesota added more names to the watchlist and ranked 50 players in the class of 2028. The following are some new names that skipped the watch list and went right to the rankings! These players are ones to keep tabs on as they are having big clubs seasons and only getting better and better!

Sievers was a new one to burst on to my radar last month. She has quick feet, a fast arm swing, and can deliver massive kills to all areas of the court and make it look so easy. I also like that for such a young age, Sievers can execute several attacks - she can run the quick, hit the gap ball, and is fun to watch when she comes flying into the middle from the right side off receive.

I want to take credit for discovering Blount early in the club season when I saw her at the Luau tournament in the twin cities, however, it is fair to say, she would have been noticed regardless. She does so many things well. She has developed some really good serve receive skills, has an arsenal of shots when attacking, and plays solid defense. In addition, Blount plays with such a fierceness that when matched with her exemplary skills, she is hard to forget. It was only a matter of time before she came on everyone's radar in the scouting world.

Gunderson is fun to watch. She is middle that encompasses everything that college coaches want. She has height, speed, quick arm swing, anticipates well, has good reactions, and knows how to read opposing teams setters. Gunderson is one of those young middles that has a big volleyball career ahead of her and we plan to be there for it every step of the way.

Garman is a pin hitter with a heavy arm swing. She is versatile in that she will attack from basically every spot in the front row. She will take big swings from both the right and left side and even out of the middle. Opposing teams' blockers need to be wary of Garman. She does a solid job using the block to her advantage, scoring many points off of blocker's hands. Essentially, if you send the ball her way, she is going to find a way to score.

Zwart found her way into the lime light this past fall as a freshman starting as a middle blocker for her high school team as they made their way to the state tournament. Since then, she has been playing with her local team up in the 17s age division. She has had to learn quickly how to read the block in front of her. She has really worked hard on altering her shot to go around the block, reading the court, and finding the openings to drop tips and pushes.

I am a big Lee fan. I have watched her a couple of times and love the fact that she is not a one dimensional player. Lee can attack, pass, serve, and set. While it is impressive that she has a wide range of skills, Lee's primary position is setter. She sets tempo, can push the ball to the pin, and runs an efficient floor getting all of her attackers involved. Lee also has an advantage as a lefty that can attack as well. Teams need to watch out when playing her as I anticipate she will throw down some impressive setter dumps as her game continues to grow.

Miller is an aggressive rightside that has a ton of potential. Using her speed and big reach, Miller has found much success this club season on her NL team swinging from the pins. Primarily a right side, Miller tracks the ball well over her shoulder and can deliver big swings on both in system and out of system balls. Miller is one to keeps tabs on as she continues to grow her skills.
