Bulldog Bash Young Talent Shines

The pipeline for young college talent was evident at the Bulldog Bash in Lexington Saturday. We were enamored by the display of these young athletes who are en route to be future stars showing unlimited potential, new to high school and developing their skills. One thing for sure, talent is abundant in Lexington! We've put together a list to remember!    Harper has raw talent and lots of it. She plays for the Dunbar Freshman team and is one of their strongest players despite her age. She has an impressive swing with a good approach and can deliver a nice crosscourt kill. She has good court IQ effectively following the play and made short work of the oppositions overpass delivering a nice well placed tip. She has a well timed block with good height and can dig to keep the play alive with good ups. She has all the tools to make a top level player with a great serve, aces included, good ball control and great fundamentals. She will go far!     Iris is a driven player and it shows on the court! She has excellent form with her body delivering nice sets to the pins and middles using both effectively, with a great backset! She is keen to make good plays on the court and runs the court smartly. She is confident and sly with an effective no tell setter dump, and can dig well getting the ball playable. She displays a beautiful top spin serve and has excellent court IQ being enthusiastic and communicating well with her teammates. Lots to like about this upcoming talent!       Ava is gamechanger when she steps on the court, she makes her presence at the net felt! An imposing player with good size and strength she has a great block with a nice swing step down the net and great timing. She can get up for a tip or joust, sees the overpass opportunity coming and delivers a nice kill with a great approach and swing! Ava delivers a consistently nice net skimming serve and can put it between the seams showing great ball control. Shes an enthusiastic supportive teammate and shows she can deliver whether she is playing JV or Varsity!     Halley is a solid player with excellent court IQ, she reads the play well and is moving well before the play! She has amazing ball control with a solid platform and a great swing down the line, she is accurate getting the ball up into the front line, digs whole heartedly and communicates well with her teammates. She can put the ball where the opposition isn't with a crafty tip and has a beautiful serve. We love her hustle; she is a consummate player. She is an asset to any team and we look forward to watching her this season!     Peyton is a power house, she is relentless on the frontline and has some stealthy moves to release that swing, she positions herself quickly to be able to swing at any ball and gets it done hitting deep into the corners! She has an arsenal of tools with a good vertical getting up for the block, is a savvy tipper and digs for the ball giving 110% on the court. She has a forceful serve that is hard to return and will put the defense on their knees. She is super enthusiastic and comes to win! She shines already!
