Prep Dig Texas covered the tournament on Thursday, when we got to watch as many as 16 different teams in action at the Katy HS and Cinco Ranch HS venues. With the event now completed, we're now featuring the players who stood out in each position, and this time we'll focus on the outside hitters:

Moretti started with the Tomball team that earned six wins and two losses in the event. A solid all-around player, she was a key piece in the team, contributing on both sides of the ball. Moretti was extremely efficient offensively, getting off the floor very well and finding difficult angles to hit around blockers and score. She displayed excellent vision at the net and, even when she had two blockers standing in front of her, she still found ways to avoid them, making very few errors. The outside hitter was also very stable with her passing, handling most serves that went her way efficiently.

Morrison helped her Tomball Memorial team end the weekend with six wins and two losses. Very explosive and aggressive, she was one of the team's go-to scorers, responding well to the challenge. Morrison proved to have a great ability to get off the floor and a heavy right arm, but she got to diversify a lot with her swings and was very successful in her attempts to put the ball down. The outside hitter was excellent with her shot selection and combined that with her athleticism to reach a very high rate when swinging in out-of-system plays.

Dinges stood out for the Bellville team that got three wins and five losses in the tournament. Capable of playing on the left or the right, she displayed an excellent offensive potential and was one of her team's leading scorers. Dinges makes contact with the ball at a very high point and has the perfect combination of power and finesse to avoid blockers and defenders. She sees the game extremely well across the net and often makes the right choices offensively, also standing out for her consistency.

Petty played for the Cinco Ranch team that completed their schedule with two wins and six losses. She made the most of her vision and technique to stand out in the event, delivering a tremendous performance against Cy Ranch. Petty was very well offensively in that match and seemed to have solutions for every play, finding ways to hit around the block, to power through it, or to tool it and put the ball down. Besides appearing well offensively, the outside hitter also did solid work on the backcourt, passing efficiently and coming up with nice digs.

Malone and her Cy Springs teammates got to win two of their eight matches over the weekend. The dynamic outside hitter was a key player for them, especially on offense, as, despite not being very tall, Malone jumped very high every time she was set and displayed a strong combination of firepower and vision to put the ball down. A player of solid technical skills, she made some impressive digs and was very reliable in serve-receive. The outside hitter also appeared well in other areas of the game, recovering the ball when covering her teammates at the net on some occasions and setting in transition when needed.
