More Pin Hitters to Follow after Nebraska Freshman Showcase

This [program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs'] 14 Silver standout exhibited tremendous hustle on the left side and often found ways to score with off-speed shots. The future Omaha South freshman embraced the opportunity to train with some of the best athletes in her age group and will apply that experience to the high school stage. Green was identified as a top performer at last weekend's showcase and put forth the all-around impact we love to see from outside hitters. The intensity we see along the net doesn't waver when Green rotates to the back row. She is capable of shouldering a DS role while remaining an attacking threat in the middle-back area. Donner brought her familiar brand of hard-hitting termination to our showcase and had an exceptional showing in defensive drills, too. Gangwish has a knack for driving through the ball and producing exceptional heat in her swings. Her consistent aggression was particularly impressive as she adjusted to varying setting styles during six-on-six drills. As Premier Nebraska 14 Gold marched to the GJNC podium in Dallas, Labedz proved she could lock down the middle blocker spot and be a game-changing scoring threat. This stacks with her extensive experience as an opposite, giving Labedz's teams several lineup options at their disposal. Olson, who will represent the upstart Lincoln Standing Bear program this fall, was a multi-dimensional force as a middle-opposite hybrid for 14 Black. Her length and physicality easily translate to both positions, providing an upgrade in overall net presence. Rawley's best asset is her ability to contribute as a go-to scorer and as a reliable passer. The Nebraska Freshman Showcase put pin hitters through various backcourt drills, which is where Olson started to find her stride last weekend. Her Nebraska Juniors highlight tape also shows how Olson can command the L1 position and be equally effective on the right side.
