The Stock Up Showcase gave us a glimpse of what is to come for the 2025 High School season. It also gave more clarity and analysis following successful club seasons. Here are some final notes and impressions from last weekend.

Aurora's [player_tooltip player_id='832387' first='Grace' last='Wieseler'] is a 6'0” middle who is athletic and jumps well. She has great court sense and is smart when placing the ball. Wieseler also takes some nice swings on the pin and can use the block to her advantage by tooling it. Look for her to make a big leap from her sophomore to junior campaign. Keep an eye on this Husky this fall!

[player_tooltip player_id='779511' first='Calleigh' last='Chmelka'], a 5'9” outside hitter from Lincoln Northeast, was impressive on Saturday. She has a heavy arm with a fast swing. She has a variety of different shots. She can hit high hands off the block or hit that sharp scene. Her hangtime allows her to find the opponents open court quickly. Chmelka is really strong and transitions well. Look for her to make big strides in the transition from her freshman to sophomore year.

Another Northeast Rocket to keep an eye on is 5'8” [player_tooltip player_id='575241' first='Savannah' last='Stengel']. She has a ton of energy and good talk on the floor! On Hudl she is also listed as a defensive specialist. Stengel has a fast arm and has a nice high contact point. Her ability to hit that deep roll shot to one throws defenses off. She is also able to hit high hands. Keep an eye on her as her stock continues to rise!

Lincoln High's [player_tooltip player_id='527141' first='Jadis' last='Cooper'] plays bigger than her listed 5'5” frame. She jumps well and is explosive. Her cut shot between the blockers is hard to stop. Cooper also plays great floor defense! Changing up the speed and direction of her hits makes her hard to defend. Keep this 2027 player on your radar!

Makena Wiliam takes huge, explosive swings on the pin. The 5'6” outside transitions well and is so patient. She jumps well and uses her power for kills. The combination of patience and power makes for a great recipe! Keep track of this Kearney Bearcat sophomore!

Here are a few quick snippets of athletes from Saturday to wrap up analysis: Setter [player_tooltip player_id='593830' first='Emma' last='Kesler'] is 5 '4 " out of Lincoln East and has great hands. She does a fantastic job of getting under the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='763640' first='Kelsie' last='Holder'] is 5 '9 " jack of all trades type player. She can set and hit, but is listed primarily as a hitter. She is explosive and takes big swings! The Elkhorn Antler sophomore should have a solid year this year! Another 2028 outside is [player_tooltip player_id='826902' first='Emery' last='Taylor'] out of Auburn who has a big, heavy, explosive arm. She also has a great float serve that can rack up the aces! [player_tooltip player_id='774629' first='Ava' last='Owen'], a libero and defensive specialist from Omaha Westside reads hitters well and digs up a ton of balls. She is also a strong communicator!

What a great showcase to look closer at athletes and see them compete with others from schools of different sizes! Keep an eye on these athletes going into the fall season! It should be a fantastic high school season in Nebraska!
