Notable DS/setters at Rowan County scrimmages

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Some of the 12 teams at the Rowan County scrimmages on Saturday played in the Bluegrass Games a week go and some did not so it meant their first action against teams in other jerseys.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The games showed what needs to be fixed before the regular season starts on Aug. 18. She sets her feet well, surveys the floor and finds the right hitters to set. Kirk does a variety of short and long sets trying to find her hitters' power zones with precision. She makes good adjustments when first touches are not on target. Kirk can even set the back row. She made some good first touches in the scrimmages. She is setting this season as Augusta is moving from a 5-1 to a 6-2 formation. She does not hide behind blocks. She makes good first touches getting Rowan County in system and has solid serves. She landed an ace on a good libero Saturday.
