<p>St. Ursula Academy is the defending Division II Ohio state champion with a lot of tools to make an honest run at repeating. They took on a very good Fenwick team on Thursday in what was likely the best match up of the week across Ohio. The Bulldogs battled to the win as it went the distance including a SUA fifth set victory by the score of 15-9. Set one established the tone for the match as it went extra points with Fenwick opening up the match with a 31-29 win. Settled in, the Eagles cruised to a second set win at 25-17 before St. Ursula came alive to earn the reverse sweep with set three and set four scores of 25-21 and 25-20 respectively. <p>[player_tooltip player_id='204230' first='Emma' last='Frietch'] - Sr. | Libero<br>Frietch (*pictured), a Tennessee commit, is a lights out libero in her ability to dig with range and efficiency. She led SUA with 35 digs, improving her season average to 6.5 digs per set. She also contributed six service aces that were instrumental in keeping Fenwick's offense out of rhythm at times.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='582200' first='Lucy' last='Waleskowski'] - Fr. | S/RS<br>The freshman phenom, one of the best in Ohio, was terrific in this big battle. As she tied the team lead with 16 kills, she also guided a good portion of the offense with a match high 41 assists. On the defensive side, she added 14 digs and two blocks as she is competing like a veteran early one for SUA. She set a balanced offense as five hitters saw between 21 and 41 attempts in the match.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='227797' first='Gabby' last='Semona'] - Sr. | MH<br>Semona has potential to be a formidable middle each time she steps on the court. The Xavier commit was terrific in the middle phase of the game as she tied for team high offensive honors with 16 kills on a .480 efficiency. She can bring some heat when she finds space along with the ability to score with range. She also contributed two blocks.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='480820' first='Lola' last='Waleskowski'] - Jr. | OH<br>A mainstay from the 2024 season for SUA's offense, Waleskowski had her best offensive output of the 2025 season over two matches so far. She earned 12 kills on a .290 efficiency. She averaged just over two kills per set in 2024 and will likely see an uptick in her productivity on the offensive side as the season progresses.</p>

Her role as a defensive specialist will be a key piece to help SUA's offense run with balance and efficiency. She had 15 digs in their first win earlier in the week.</p>

She was instrumental in keeping the SUA offense at bay for portions of the match as the Bulldogs hit at a .215 efficiency compared to Fenwick's .232 effort, which was aided by Moser's ability to pass and dig the ball into good situations.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='808157' first='Morgan' last='Meiring'] - Jr. | OH<br>Meiring is Fenwick's offensive leader overall. With 20 kills versus SUA, she took the most swings at 56, terminating at a 36% rate in a tough matchup. She also added 20 digs for a complete overall effort. Meiring is averaging 4.4 k/s so far this season.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='808049' first='Mia' last='Schmitt'] - Soph. | OH/RS<br>Schmitt had 14 kills on 45 swings, second most on the team. She found success in terminating on a .244 efficiency. At 5'8, she can generate good pace when she gets to the ball on time with her footwork and in the air. </p>

<p><strong>Abby Keller</strong> - Jr. | S<br>Keller helped guide the Eagles' offense. In sharing the setting role, she led them with 27 assists while also adding 15 digs for the double-double. She provides good court presence in both aspects of the game as she helps to stabilize their effort with her play and leadership. </p>
