Warren has opened up the season with one of the best starts across Ohio as they are 8-0 overall having dropped just one set so far. With an effective setter, an offense earning nearly 13 k/s as a unit, and a defense picking up 46 digs per match, the Warriors are looking to repeat last year's success when they finished the 2024 cycle with a 23-3 overall record and a Division IV state semifinal appearance. Here are some of their key athletes performing well this early season.

[player_tooltip player_id='812815' first='Elayna' last='Greenwalt'] - 2027
The Warriors had big shoes to fill following the graduation of their lead arm that scored a lot of points in 2024. The elder Greenwalt is making a big impact as she leads this potent offense at 4.5 k/s. As a middle hitter, she sees high volume of opportunity, and rightfully so given her effectiveness. She earned 148 total kills in 2024 and will soon arrive at that same total in just a few more matches as she can score through a variety of attack points. She also leads the team defensively at 9.9 digs per match.

[player_tooltip player_id='809878' first='Sydney' last='Starcher'] - 2026
The senior middle hitter is averaging nearly four kills per set as she is half of a middle duo that is among the best as a point scoring tandem from this position. She has good length and is aggressive with her arm when she gets opportunities to swing. Additionally, as she broke Warren's school record in the girls high jump, that is an indication of the type of athleticism she has to benefit her effort on the volleyball court. Her 7.7 digs per set are also impressive given middles don't typically get a lot of opportunity to play defense away from the net.

[player_tooltip player_id='878740' first='Taylor' last='Greenwalt'] - 2029
Just a freshman, the younger Greenwalt is proving to be a very reliable outside hitter. She is one of their three primary arms as each is earning over three kills per set. At 3.3 k/s, she is terminating at a 43% kill rate and .296 efficiency. She started 2024 on a hot streak as she earned double-digit kills in her first five varsity matches, including 14 kills in an earlier win over Nelsonville-York. Earning 15 digs in that same match for her first double-double of her varsity career, Greenwalt is averaging 2.5 digs per set.

Mya Stemple - 2026 | S
Another contributing senior, Stemple is behind the offense as she does good work to get her big three arms good opportunities to use their physical tools well to swing and score. Stemple is averaging an impressive 10.1 a/s in her first true action as the primary setter for Warren. Playing in a supporting role for the Warriors in 2024, she is handling this key opportunity well following the graduation of their floor leader from last season. She also contributes defensively with nearly seven digs per match while also earning 15 service aces in the early going this season.

Bralynn Bonnette - 2026
Although Bonnette's numbers don't standout as much as her teammates, she plays a key role both at the net and in the backcourt. The third senior producing among this core group, she is playing her first significant time as a varsity member for the Warriors. Her biggest contributions come from the back row as her defense is earning nearly seven digs for match, which is critical for their offense to get more opportunities in the transition phase of the game. She does a good job to pursue the ball with good range as highlighted by her first double-digit effort with 10 digs in their recent win over Belpre.
