The Up Next Showcase in Dallas did not disappoint as there were some amazing young volleyball players giving their all in front of our scouts and court coaches. It was very refreshing to get to teach these young ladies what to expect in the next few years and how to properly showcase themselves. Let's meet a few of the players who earned a Top Performer award from their awesome individual play.

Miss Shockley is currently an unranked prospect in the 2030 class according to our Texas State Rankings, but that is only because we have not released her class. She will play volleyball at Clark High School and currently plays for the Alamo volleyball club. Even as an eighth grader, this young phenom shows flashes of brilliance in every facet of the game. As an offensive weapon, she has a tall and strong frame that can bring some serious heat from both pins. I especially love how she lets the ball cross over her shoulders during her right side attack in order to swing down the line with power. Her ability to battle at the net as a blocker is elite to say the least. She keeps her hands very high while at base and it helps her to be very fast and efficient when reaching up and over the net while pressing over during the block attempt. As a setter, she has super soft hands that allow the ball to float out of them so smoothly. She also uses these cloud-like hands when passing/digging and it keeps the ball in system for her team to capitalize on. We will keep watching her volleyball journey closely. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at our showcase.

Miss Dominguez is currently an unranked prospect in the 2030 class according to our Texas State Rankings, but that is only because we have not released her class. She will play volleyball at Rockwall High School and currently plays for the MadFrog volleyball club. There are volleyball players and then there are true leaders. It is very rare to see strong leadership skills in young players, but don't tell Rylin that. She is the epitome of the word leadership on the volleyball court. It was apparent from the moment we watched her compete that she was different than the rest. Her presence, vocal leadership, and how she performs all proves that she is an extension of her coaching staff on the court. When you watch her play, you see someone who is highly skilled at distributing the ball to her teammates. Armed with impressive and pinpoint accuracy, she is able to thread the needle to every position no matter where she is located on the court. Her athleticism shines when she is on the move tracking down the ball due to her swift footwork and explosive reaction timing. She is everything you want in a setter and has so much potential to be a game changer as she continues to progress in the position. You will know her name soon. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at our showcase.

Miss Wagner is currently an unranked prospect in the 2030 class according to our Texas State Rankings, but that is only because we have not released her class. She will play volleyball at Cornerstone Christian High School and currently plays for the Alamo volleyball club. One thing that you notice about Annelise is how she uses a high volleyball IQ and stellar court vision to find open holes in the defense to score. She is constantly scanning the court and moving her shot around to keep the defense guessing. When we mentioned to the players that they needed to try to not hit the same shot twice in a row, Miss Wagner listened well and proceeded to use off-speed shots and hard swings to score very efficiently. What I really love is how she already gets very deep with her touch point in order to create momentum in her attack approach. When players use great transition footwork at a young age, you can tell that they are coachable and that they have been trained extremely well. We will definitely be putting her down in our database for players to watch over the next few seasons to see if she can make our State Ranking List. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at our showcase.
