Riddle's kills numbers have been off the charts since entering high school. She had 509 for a 5.14 kills per set average as a freshman then it increased to 556 as a sophomore for an average of 5.2 per set. Riddle (pictured) has not had to set this year allowing her to focus more on hitting and through 18 games, Riddle has 321 kills for an astounding 6.98 per set average this year. Riddle has a great approach toward the net and pounds balls down a number of balls different ways. Riddle also makes sound passes and has a good jump serve. Riddle does not like losing and is not afraid to admit it like she did Friday when the Kats finished 1-1 losing to Trinity Christian in the All "A" State Tournament after winning the first set. The Kats won the first 12 games of the season and finished 3-3 in the All "A" State Tournament losing to Eminence in the Bronze Bracket finals.

The Rockets consistently win state championships because they are so balanced. Poteraj is helping give that balance to Assumption this year. She pounds balls to different parts of the court from the outside. She also mixes in soft hits to keep defenses guessing. Poteraj had 47 kills through 37 sets so far this season as the Rockets are off to a 17-2 start.

The defending 3rd Region champion Devils may be struggling this season, but Travis has been a bright spot for Owensboro. Travis puts a lot of sets on target and makes sound passes to start up offensive attacks. Her serves also generate a number of points. If certain things click around Travis and her teammates, Owensboro could be a dangerous team in the postseason.

Gray is putting together a great season for the E-Gals. She makes things happen all over the court. The work on her serve reception has carried over into the regular season for Apollo. Gray takes sound swings and her strong jump serve is hard for many opponents to handle.

One reason the Banshees are 5-0 in 19th District seed play is strong team balance. Smith gives Bethlehem another option on the outside for opponents to consider. She draws a lot of one-on-one opportunities with the talent around her. Smith makes good in-game adjustments. Smith landed some kills across the court from the weak side to the shallow five zone against Eminence in the All "A" State Tournament. Once Smith saw the Warriors cover it, Smith smacked balls to the back court including some through double blocks.
