One has to take advantage of opportunities when they get in games for the Rockets because of their depth. Poteraj (pictured) more than did in the win over Shelby Valley landing five kills on 10 attempts and just two errors for a .300 hitting percentage, taking hard swings. Poteraj also formed sound double teams at the net making things tough on the Shelby Valley hitters. Poteraj said the Assumption practices are so hard it helps them stay focused on the end goal no matter who the opponent is on the other side of the net.

The Rockets consistently win state championships because they are so balanced. Poteraj is helping give that balance to Assumption this year. She pounds balls to different parts of the court from the outside. She also mixes in soft hits to keep defenses guessing. Poteraj had 47 kills through 37 sets so far this season as the Rockets are off to a 17-2 start.

Poteraj took solid swings throughout club season and has carried it over into the fall. Poteraj has a tough cross, slide move and can hit balls off blockers when needed. Poteraj has more than benefitted from playing in the fast-paced KIVA club. She will earn a number of one-on-one opportunities with the loaded Rockets squad this fall.

Poteraj has been bouncing back from an injury in a big way during club ball. Poteraj has outstanding techinque in pounding balls to the floor. Poteraj has a number of ways to put balls down. She is tough on hard shots to the six. Poteraj is effective from both the middle and the pins. Poteraj may look like she is about to smack a ball in the air, only to pull up and tap it off a block.
