Silver Lake, and Seaman, along with Manhattan, made the trip to Shawnee Heights for some September volleyball action.

I scouted two matches at the event. The first was the host Shawnee Heights versus the Silver Lake Eagles and then the Indians against the Thunderbirds.

Shawnee Heights knocked off Silver Lake 25-23, 25-12 in two sets, and lost to Manhattan in three sets.

[player_tooltip player_id='518884' first='Avery' last='Willey'], 5'4”, DS/L, Shawnee Heights ‘26

Willey is just an enjoyable prospect to watch play. She is undersized for a hitter, but she can jump through the roof, and transitions from receiver to attacker about as smooth as I have ever seen. She is ranked No. 25 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026 and has verbally committed to Washburn. In the win over Silver Lake, she recorded six kills, six serve receptions, and seven digs. In the loss to Manhattan she finished with seven kills, nine digs, and 14 serve receptions.

[player_tooltip player_id='446317' first='Clara' last='Morgan'], 5'5”, S, Shawnee Heights, '27

Morgan continues to improve as a prospect. She has improved her serving and her defensive play. Morgan is ranked No. 23 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027. She is also interested in playing sand volleyball at the next level. She registered 12 assists, six digs, and three aces in the win over Silver Lake. In the loos to the Indians she finished with 15 assists, five digs, and two aces.

[player_tooltip player_id='808179' first='Jaidyn' last='Euwer'], 5'6”, DS/L, Shawnee Heights, '26

Euwer played some outstanding defense in for the Thunderbirds. She recorded three digs and 11 serve receptions in the victory against the Eagles. She followed that up with a 15 digs an 17 serve reception performances against Manhattan. Euwer is ranked No. 121 overall by Prep Dig Kansas.

[player_tooltip player_id='525466' first='Kylie' last='Hanni'], 5'4”, S, Silver Lake ‘27

Hanni is a disciplined setter who did a nice job of distributing the ball for the Eagles. She finished with 14 assists, three digs, and two aces in the match against Shawnee Heights. I like the quickness of her game and the poise she played with. She is ranked No. 97 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027.

[player_tooltip player_id='809394' first='Jaylie' last='Whitehead'], 5'5”, DS/L, Silver Lake, ‘27

Whitehead is ranked No. 104 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027. She has quick feet and communicates well. She finished the match with four digs and seven serve receptions.

[player_tooltip player_id='845699' first='Karys' last='Deiter'], 5'7”, OH, Silver Lake, '28

Deiter is a multiple sport prospect. She is ranked No. 140 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028 by Prep Dig Kansas and is ranked No. 28 overall by Prep Girls Hoops Kansas. She had a team-high six kills. She plays six rotations and added three digs and seven serve receptions to her stat line. The loss was Silver Lake's first of the season and they bounced back to beat Seaman in their second match.
