Texas High School Report – Dishin’ the Rock Vol 3

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The high school season is underway all across the state of Texas and there have been some great individual performances so far.  This article series will highlight those special players who are leading their respective teams in certain statistical categories.  Let's check out some awesome setters who are running the show in impeccable fashion.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph solid output but has already surpassed her last season's assist total.  She currently has 804 assists and is averaging eight and a half assists per set.  When you add in the fact that she has 31 aces on the year, you have one amazing season of production to help her squad be competitive.  Although only listed at five foot five inches tall, she plays the game with energy and tons of effort.  We have seen her do some great things during the club season with her fast footwork and it is nice to see her step up to the plate during the high school season.  One aspect that she excels in is playing right back zone defense like a libero.  You can always count on her being ready to do whatever it takes to keep the ball in play. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">The senior setter is having a phenomenal year as she has tallied 877 assists and 9.6 assists per set so far and the year is far from over.  With only 14 ball-handling errors out of 2,433 attempts, this squad is definitely in great “hands”.  She is also stellar from the service line as she has 37 aces on the year and a 95.3 serve percentage.  She has recently chosen to play college volleyball at Harding University and will be a great addition to their roster.  Her soft hands and great posture while delivering the ball equate to some very deceptive setter dumps that score pretty efficiently.  One thing I like about her play is that she is not afraid to battle at the net while in the front row.  Even when she is delivering the set with her platform, she does such a great job of locating it in a perfect position to attack. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">The senior from Pieper is well known to us at Prep Dig as we have followed her career since she was a freshman.  With 795 assists on the year and averaging 8.8 assists per set, you can say that she is on her “A” game once again.  She has blown her stats from her previous two years on varsity out of the water and the year is far from over.  This young lady is a silky smooth setter who can really dish the rock.  Routinely she will make defenders commit to her because of amazingly deceptive posture before she delivers the ball.  By utilizing her jump set effectively, she will give her hitters one on one situations or at the very least some nice splits to attack.  The five foot ten inch lefty is a college coach's dream.  If she has not been scooped up yet, I strongly suggest that all schools who need a talented setter give her a few looks and you will not be disappointed.  She will give your team a much needed boost in leadership and security for your offense. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stay
