Texas High School Report – Top Attackers Vol 2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The high school season is underway all across the state of Texas and there have been some great individual performances so far.  This article series will highlight those special players who are leading their respective teams in certain statistical categories.  Let's start out with some attackers and see who is leading the charge. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">The five foot eleven left side attacker from Forney High School and Dallas Skyline is currently the second leading kill scorer in the entire state of Texas regardless of grad class.  So far this season, she has tallied 464 kills on a whopping 1236 attempts.  Her squad knows exactly who to give the ball to as she has triple the amount of attempts than her teammates.  They are letting her have one tremendous senior season and their hopes for a competitive season ride on her strong shoulders.  By hitting at a .251 clip, she is dangerous from any location on the court at any time.  Opposing coaches should definitely have their defense know where she is and which routes she will take during each rotation.  When you watch her attack, you will be in awe of just how much power she possesses in her entire body from her jump to her swing.  Even when the defense is in position, it is very difficult to match up with her power.  What is really scary is just when you think you are in perfect position and brace for a hard driven swing, she sends over a deceptive off-speed roll or tip that scores just as effectively.  She is a true joy to watch and is already about to surpass the most kills she has ever had in any season of her high school career.  To this date, she has amassed a total of 1,639 kills and the season is far from over. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Who says a freshman isn't ready for the big stage yet?  Let me introduce you to Miss Peyton Smith who is a star on the rise.  Even though only a freshman at Duncanville High School, she has put her squad on her back and carried them to relevance due to her playmaking skills.  Currently she has the fifth most kills in the entire state of Texas regardless of grad class.  Her tally sits at 455 kills on a very impressive .322 hitting percentage.  With that rate of efficiency, she will become the career kill leader at Duncanville pretty easily by her senior season.  Explosive is one very good word that can be used to describe her as she can soar high in the air and fire away with her cannon for an arm.  The way she moves so effortlessly around the court will have you amazed that she is only in her freshman season.  We will be following her journey in volleyball very closely and think you should as well.  I promise you will be as impressed as we are if you do. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">We have seen Miss Tedder a few times this past season and we knew that she was ready for another solid season on the pins.  What we didn't know was just how good of a season she would have.  The five foot ten left side has some serious pop to her game and should be given a few looks by schools who need a terminator on the left side.  She can get up in a hurry and locate the ball anywhere she desires with her golden right arm.  Currently she has the third most kills in the entire state of Texas amongst all grad classes.  The season is not over and she is only 45 kills away from her career best.  Her 460 kills is even more impressive known that she is doing it with a  .278 hitting percentage.  That efficiency alone should tell you all you need to know about her ability to kill the ball at a high level.  We had some fun getting to know her at our showcase at nationals this past club season and think you should take some time to get to know her as well.  We guarantee you will be impressed. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!--
