Class 4A Bondurant-Farrar made the trip east for the action. The sophomore was effective operating in the middle of the net and at the opposite pin. She's tall with long arms and a heck of a lot of power in her lefty swing. Hanson explodes off of the court, rising up on her vertical leap. She gets off of the ground fast on quick sets and when she's throwing up a block. Hanson displays the ability to be really good defensively with more reps. The same could be said about a future in basketball. Fried brings the athleticism and explosiveness that leads to success in hoops to the volleyball court. She can get up on her vertical leap and hangs in the air when following through with a big swing that finishes with power. Fried makes good decisions on the attack already, and more consistency will come with experience. She'd produced 109 kills and 39.0 blocks through her teams first 86 sets of 2025, both numbers ranking among the team's leaders. If you like long-armed lefties at the opposite pin, Edwards is a worthy one. She shows a great feel for the position. That comfortability is complemented by a strong vertical leap and power in the swing. There's room for growth in both areas as she matures in the game. On defense, Edwards throws up a technically sound block after getting clean reads on the opposing attack. During the first 86 sets of her junior season, she'd accounted for 118 kills and 34.0 blocks. She showed that separates her from a lot of folks in the 2028 during an in-person scouting opportunity at the Westside Invite in Cedar Rapids on Oct. 11, 2025. Not blessed with exceptional height at the pin, Holtkamp makes up for it with explosiveness off of the court and an excellent vertical leap. She produces power in her swing and reads the defense well, which helps decisions on where to aim the attack. Holtkamp also offers potential in the back row with her ability to move laterally and by employing sharp reflexes. She's steadily improved as a volleyball player, and through 86 sets of 2025, led them with 171 kills. Her 145 digs and 17.0 blocks illustrated her defensive prowess. Dodson finds success through being a good athlete that can jump and generate power in her swing. Beyond that, she displays a high volleyball IQ. When watching her attack, she takes what the defense gives her, whether that be by beating it with velocity or taking advantage of angles. The senior setter showed she could deliver precise sets from all around the court, and an ability to read the defense led to feeding attackers with an advantage. Arens' feel for the position is advanced. Taller with long arms, she can create offense with her swing or dump the ball into the donut. Those assets also aid her when defending at the net, where she produced 20.0 blocks through 86 sets this season.
