Rob Howe | Prep Dig Scout
Hanson has steadily improved throughout the last year from what I’ve witnessed during in-person scouts. She’s gotten strong, grown in height and sharpened her volleyball skills. It’s exciting to consider her upside as the multi-sport athlete continues to gain volleyball experience. I watched her compete at the Westside Invite in Cedar Rapids late in the prep season and again at the 2026 Impact Invite with the host program’s 16-1 Elite team. Hanson just keeps adding power to her lefty-swing from the opposite pin, where she attacks aggressively. Her long arms and timing make her a factor as a blocker, too. Hanson is a player with a high ceiling and is on her way to reaching it. She’ll likely build on her sophomore season at Bondurant-Farrar that saw her lead the varsity in blocks and rank second in kills as a sophomore.

Hanson is a successful multi-sport athlete that shows a lot of promise in volleyball after watching her compete at the Westside Invite on Oct. 11 in Cedar Rapids. The sophomore was effective operating in the middle of the net and at the opposite pin. She’s tall with long arms and a heck of a lot of power in her lefty swing. Hanson explodes off of the court, rising up on her vertical leap. She gets off of the ground fast on quick sets and when she’s throwing up a block. Hanson displays the ability to be really good defensively with more reps. Through the Bluejays’ first 86 sets of 2025, she ranked second on the team with 136 kills, and her 51.0 blocks led the squad by a considerable margin.
