The freshman class of right-side hitters showed tremendous promise at the Prep Dig Exposure Tour in Dallas, stepping into a challenging position and proving they belong among some of the top young talent in the region. The opposite position demands versatility—blocking the opponent's strongest attackers, terminating tough sets, adjusting quickly in transition, and often providing a stabilizing presence when a team needs a big point.

Despite being the youngest athletes in the gym, these 2029 athletes brought confidence, aggression, and noticeable skill development to the court. Let's take a closer look at each standout freshman opposite and what made them such exciting prospects.

[player_tooltip player_id='849695' first='Lexi' last='Caprio']

Caprio is a 5'10" right-side hitter from Timber Creek High School. Caprio was one of the most physically imposing freshman opposites at the event. With her 5'10" frame and strong vertical, she immediately established herself as a blocking force on the right pin. She gets excellent penetration over the net and uses her length to take away key angles from opposing outsides. Offensively, Caprio attacks with a heavy arm and shows strong control on cross-court swings. Her ability to run quick tempo balls behind the setter gives her significant long-term offensive upside. A high-ceiling athlete already competing with advanced poise.

[player_tooltip player_id='848967' first='Bailey' last='Robinson']

Robinson is a 5'8" right-side hitter from Liberty Christian High School. Robinson is a dynamic athlete with a fast arm and great court awareness. She excels in transition—getting off the net quickly and into her approach with strong footwork. Robinson showed remarkable versatility for a freshman, mixing power swings with well-placed tips and corner shots. Her blocking timing is developing quickly, and she consistently makes smart reads against stronger outside hitters. She plays with infectious energy and communicates well, contributing to her team's rhythm and confidence.

[player_tooltip player_id='882347' first='Azeley' last='Johnson']

Johnson is a 5'5" right-side hitter from Lake Belton High School. Johnson may be one of the smallest opposites in her class, but she plays far bigger than her height suggests. With a fast jump, excellent timing, and explosive movement, she gets above the block and puts real pace on the ball. Johnson's ability to create offense from tight sets and difficult angles impressed throughout the day. Additionally, she brings strong back-row value—digging well, covering hitters, and playing a clean defensive game. Her competitive edge and speed make her a standout in this freshman group.

[player_tooltip player_id='897479' first='Munachiso' last='Osuagwu']

Osuagwu is a 5'9" right-side hitter from Lovejoy High School. Osuagwu is a powerful, physical attacker with a natural presence at the net. Her blocking was one of her biggest strengths—she reads hitters well, seals the pin effectively, and takes away the line with confidence. Offensively, she delivers a heavy, high-contact swing that is difficult to defend. She handles out-of-system sets well, staying aggressive and attacking with intent. Osuagwu's combination of athleticism, strength, and volleyball IQ gives her tremendous long-term potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='847682' first='Eleonora' last='Podlasek']

[player_tooltip player_id='847682' first='Eleonora' last='Podlasek'], 2029.

Poslasek is a 5'8" right-side hitter from Argyle High School. Podlasek is a smooth, technical player with one of the cleaner swings in the gym. She excels at hitting high off the hands and showed a natural feel for tooling the block. Her footwork on the right pin is efficient, allowing her to stay balanced and explosive even when the speed varies. Podlasek's blocking is smart and disciplined. She stays patient and reacts quickly rather than overcommitting. She plays with calm confidence, making her a steady, reliable performer with real offensive polish.

[player_tooltip player_id='904805' first='Ayanna' last='Murrell']

Murrell is a 5'6" right-side hitter from South Grand Prairie High School. Murrell is a high-energy attacker who plays with intensity and fearlessness. Her quick arm and explosive first step make her dangerous in fast plays, especially in transition. She attacks seams effectively and finds open court with creative shot-making. Murrell also brings strong defensive instincts, often extending rallies with clutch digs and smart coverage. Her agility and all-around skillset allow her to contribute in multiple phases of the game, making her a well-rounded freshman with exciting potential.
