Aggressive, Agile Middle Blockers in Prep Ohio Exposure Tour

Bruemmer took a number of quality swings from the pins and middle landing balls in different zones on the court. Brummer nailed a number of ones, shoves to the sides and slides in addition to other shots. She also made a number of quality out of system sets. Smith makes quick passes then quickly transitions to offense. What stood out about Smith is she took responsibility for her mistakes and moved on quickly. Vorst especially excelled when balls arrived at the top of her peak. Vorst put down a number of great line hits. She also executes slides. She smacks balls into seams well with her amazing wrist snap. She excelled in the line blocking drills shuffling her feet side to side quickly to deny balls from coming across the net. She also forced a number of balls high and wide. Hammerquist got a number of touches on balls to slow them down for the defensive specialists. Hammerquist has a great wrist snap to put balls down and throws off teams using her off (left) hand to tip balls to open spots on the front row. Weakley has a good net approach and makes a number of things happen in the middle and pins. Weakley gets her hands on balls then quickly sends them to open parts of the court. Weakley runs effective tandems and can hit balls off blocks or send balls to different spots on gaps. Weakley can also use her off (left) hand to land tip kills. She makes controlled first touches and forces a lot of tips on her double blocks making it easier for defensive specialists to track down. Weakley credited both her club and high school teammates and coaches for pushing her to improve.
