Sunday's Missouri/Kansas Exposure Tour marked my third consecutive weekend hopping around Prep Dig's Midwest showcases. At every stop, I've gone through the painstaking process of paring down an all-showcase team made up of top standouts from each position. Those decisions have never been easy, and they aren't getting any clearer after our Kansas City outing.

We have no stipulations on how many players or positions need to be on the all-showcase team, but that hasn't done much to streamline the selection process. So many KC-area athletes are worthy of selection here, and we'll discuss many more throughout our ongoing showcase coverage.

For now, here are my picks as the Nebraska visitor.

Don't overlook all the outstanding recruitable athletes from the Class of 2027. Schrick's showcase impact proved her worthiness to compete at the next level, and we're excited to see what the spring has in store at [program_tooltip program_id='430171' first='Atchison' last='Attackers']. As we embarked on late scrimmages in Kansas City, Schrick settled in and established an ironclad connection with her temporary teammates. Moreover, we saw Schrick take several assertive swings on the right side in out-of-system situations. Signal-callers like Schrick are the lifeblood of successful showcases.

Moncada brings the kind of heat that you can hear across the gym. Our first glimpse at her heavy arm came during free ball drills, where Moncada teed off against opposing hands. This versatile junior has a strong background as a middle blocker, but her pin prowess took precedence at the Missouri/Kansas Exposure Tour. MAVS 816 will have plenty of options to wield Moncada this spring.

Let's bolster this team's presence in the middle. Mitchell has an explosive approach in front of the setter and was at her best off two feet. Republic High School leaned on its star junior for nearly three kills per set this fall to rank second in the team's scoring column. Mitchell was also the Tigers' blocking anchor and wielded her impressive lateral movements at Sunday's event. She has honed all her positional duties and still has more time to develop.

[program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] middle blockers are always turning heads. Gilmore represents the next wave of [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] greats at the position, and she dominated the twine at our Exposure Tour. It's no surprise that the electrifying sophomore scored at a nearly 0.300 clip for Maranatha Christian Academy this year--while racking up almost 300 total kills. Volume and efficiency are skyrocketing.

Kruger doesn't mind switching things up at the net. The Lee's Summit freshman has logged over 300 kills during her underclassman tenure with the Tigers, and her attacking efficiency has escalated throughout. Though she primarily roams the middle blocker spot, Kruger didn't hesitate to add some pin reps to her showcase docket. Her positional designation will remain in the spotlight with Invasion 16 Black in the ever-competitive Heart of America Region.

You can always count on Ballard giving maximum effort on every rep. She embraced the pace and intensity of defensive drills--a sign of a selfless outside hitter. Yes, Ballard was just as phenomenal when she lined up at the net and started swinging away. She slugged through blocks with tremendous power and frequently found small seams to exploit. Sunday was a big step up for Ballard after a breakout sophomore season with Bishop Miege.

Fogel was a late addition to our Exposure Tour entry list, but that didn't stop her from making an early impression. She was one of the most natural leapers in the gym during Sunday's event, making it easy to forget she's fresh off her first year on the high school stage. Fogel capitalized on that debut season with over 150 kills for Belton High School en route to a 27-10 campaign. This 2029 outside hitter is already gaining momentum and will keep the ball rolling with [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] this spring. She already looks comfortable in her home gym.

Kansas's Class of 2029 is quickly loaded up with quality frontcourt talent. Anderson is a good "utility" choice for our all-showcase team as a player who can terminate or run an offense. Her physical frame is ready-made for an outside attacking role, and Anderson made the most of her swings during early drills. However, the Washburn Rural prospect also boasts incredible finesse when bettering the ball on first and second contacts. This is a do-it-all 2029 standout to watch in the Topeka area.

We'd expect MAVS KC to dish out some defensive talent. Peterson represented her club well with a deluge of quality digs at the Missouri/Kansas Exposure Tour. The freshman libero averaged an astonishing 5.4 digs per set this fall while immediately seizing the contrasting jersey for Bishop Seabury Academy. Peterson's uncanny instincts and quick footwork are the keys to churning out monster numbers, and we got a first-hand look at these strengths last weekend.
