Yesterday's Nebraska Exposure Tour article put several liberos into the spotlight, but pinpoint precision wasn't limited to first contacts at last weekend's event. We were also fortunate enough to bring some skilled distributors to the Nebraska Elite gym, giving the showcase's hitters a chance to shine with perfectly placed sets.

Being a showcase setter is a tough job. Players are asked to connect with unfamiliar attackers and adapt to varying tempo and location preferences. The athletes featured below were up to the challenge and ready to adapt.

Newbauer keeps generating headlines at our showcases. She was an all-event performer at our Stock Up Showcase this summer, and the momentum didn't wane heading into the winter. Newbauer's teams thrived in scrimmages as the DC West junior opened up seams from pin to pin. And, like any great setter, Newbauer was eager to talk out missed connections with her hitters and find a quick fix. Adaptability is everything.

We lauded the youth movement for this year's Lincoln Standing Bear squad, but the Grizzlies have some rising seniors to watch, too. Kesler gives the team some fascinating lineup flexibility. She ran offenses throughout our Exposure Tour, but Kesler is also a tremendous floor defender who does her best work in Zone 1. No matter which position she embraces in the [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] gym this spring, Kesler is sure to reappear during our in-season coverage.

Moulton's showcase progression has been a joy to follow. She has made multiple appearances on the Prep Dig Circuit, improving at every stop on the journey. This year's fall season could be seen as Moulton's big breakthrough, as Omaha Concordia broke its tournament drought and reached the Class C1 semifinals. Moulton's 2025 campaign is defined by both her terminal arm and her ability to dish a quick, precise offense. Both phases have made her a must-see hybrid player in Nebraska's Class of 2027.

Bennington found a late-season groove to reach the Class B tournament, and Marcinek played a critical part in that resurgence. She dialed up key serving runs and was willing to slot into a setter-hitter role if needed. That repertoire made her a perfect fit for the Nebraska Exposure Tour, where Marcinek was an all-around force during six-on-six duels. She challenged opposing hitters with her technically sound block and had several quality touches at the net. The Badgers are locked in for years of success at the setter spot.

We're always excited to see some central Nebraska entrants at our Omaha-area showcases, especially if they're making repeat trips to the circuit. Bauer returned for another outing after standing out at July's Freshman Showcase in La Vista. She reminded us of her mature feel for tempo and the iron-clad connections she forms with middle blockers. Grand Island Northwest will find a few different ways to utilize Bauer's talents, even if it involves some trips as a frontcourt hitter. Look for this versatile 2029 in the [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] gym this spring.

Pierce High School is stacked with future leaders to keep its postseason streak rolling. Olson showcased her versatility around the dial as a setter who could distribute, hit, and do just about anything you'd want from your signal-caller. She also pitched in as a key serving specialist in her debut season with the Bluejays, producing a handful of aces and clutch digs in the back row. Olson's Exposure Tour performance proved that she's ready to embrace an expanded role on the small-town prep stage.
