Here's my crack at an all-county team for Anne Arundel County. I decided to separate out the IAAM and give them their own post.

First Team:

[player_tooltip player_id='478903' first='Barrett' last='Bolter'] - S - Broadneck. Barrett is one half of the best setter duo in the county, she's a big part of why Broadneck has had so much success the past couple years, she's an elite level setter and sometimes players in a 6-2 system don't get the credit they deserve since they are only playing half the time, but Broadneck would not be where they are without her.

[player_tooltip player_id='525341' first='Genevieve' last='Willis'] - S - Severna Park. She had a great year for Severna Park, and coming into the year was half of a stellar pair, much like Bolter, but this year they converted her partner into a Libero to spread out the talent, which let her shine as the setter. She's committed to play college in Alaska.

[player_tooltip player_id='849571' first='Kadey' last='Zee'] - DS - Arundel. Kadey had been playing behind [player_tooltip player_id='434861' first='Bailey' last='Swinton'], who easily would have been first team DS had she not moved positions. This move spread the talent, much like Severna Park did, and is a major reason for the success and the run that Arundel had. Kadey has elite level speed at DS, and playing Libero this year she was keeping balls in play for their elite group of hitters to turn into offense all season.

[player_tooltip player_id='849600' first='Jennifer' last='Hong'] - DS - Severna Park. This is the aforementioned partner that was a very good setter and was converted to Libero this year. She had a fantastic year at Libero and much like Arundel was a better team for spreading out the talent vs hoarding it in a very good 6-2 setter system. After watching these teams have so much success, I suspect other HS will think about spreading out players when they've got two very skilled players at the same position.

[player_tooltip player_id='753065' first='Isabella' last='Adcock'] - MH - Severn Run. There is a lack of true middles in Anne Arundel County, but Izzy is the elite when it comes to them. She's got the size, the strength, and a good combination of athleticism and defense that makes the middle position a true threat vs just a player you hope can contribute.

[player_tooltip player_id='434861' first='Bailey' last='Swinton'] - Pin - Arundel. I suppose this was spoiled a bit by me naming her my player of the year for the county. Bailey is one of the success stories of moving depth from one position and filling a weakness somewhere else this season. It's not very often you've got a player that could make this list at two different positions, but Bailey is one of them. She's a great Libero, but made a fantastic all around 6 OH as well, with the back row skills already there, and enough vertical to rack up some kills when playing front row as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='829558' first='Anna' last='Graves'] - Pin - Broadneck. Anna had a fantastic season for Broadneck on the way to a state title. She and [player_tooltip player_id='721753' first='Kennedy' last='Smith'] made a powerful one-two punch that gave them enough firepower to take the title home this year. With Anna being a key threat, it kept teams from focusing and playing double defense, and was just the thing Broadneck needed to bring it home.

[player_tooltip player_id='857977' first='Savannah' last='Smith'] - Pin - Severn Run. Savannah is a pure power OH with a great vertical. She and Izzy made a dynamite pair on offense and they were sniffing around giving some of the contenders as much as they could handle this season. Severn Run isn't far off from being a top contending team, and she is a big reason why.

Giuliana Leon - Pin - Arundel. Giuliana is another versatile player that started at one position and shifted to another later on. She began as a Middle, as many girls who hit height early do, and then because of her athleticism, shifted to pin hitter and DS later. That makes for a fantastic all around 6 type hitter, and that kind of flexibility is a big part of why Arundel could have such a deep run with players that can play both offense and defense.

Second Team:

[player_tooltip player_id='721762' first='Sydney' last='Lawrence'] - S/MH - Broadneck. This was possibly the closest spot in my rankings between her and Genevieve at Severna Park. Sydney spent her off time from the 6-2 rotation playing Middle filling a need, which is a trend for the contenders this season. This is no slight at her, she easily could be first team, this was purely an issue of numbers, just focused on setter, and is ironic because I gave her some consideration for player of the year as well since she helped in two different positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='735304' first='Meg' last='Ronayne'] - S - Annapolis. Meg is a fantastic setter, who can run both a 5-1 and a 6-2 offense. She plays for high level clubs during club season. She carries a lot of the offense for Annapolis on a team that's not as deep as some of these others, but a partial criteria for me on this list is if the player is one you have to game plan for when you play them, and Meg definitely fits that criteria.

Natalie Denaro - DS - South River. There was a lot of movement and change in South River's back row this season. I was a bit surprised at some of the moves early when I heard about them. When I saw them live in the back half of the year however, the back row really surprised me and Natalie was a big part of that. She plays for a competitive CVA team during club season.

Lexi Luscomb - DS - Broadneck. Here's another player moved to a new position to help fill a need. Lexi was a setter for a great Metro team coming in as a Freshman, and was moved to Libero to help fill a need for Broadneck, and did a fantastic job of it. She did not look like a typical freshman and I'm not sure they can win that title without her stepping up the way she did.

Ka'Lani Richardson - MH - Arundel. She's new to Arundel, and I had heard rumors of them getting a new middle this season. I was impressed with what I saw of her during the year, and she fit in a spot Arundel could use some more depth in coming into the year.

Spring Terry - Pin - Arundel. Another JUST missing first team for me, it's no slight to her, just a numbers game, but she is a great hitter and a big factor of why Arundel has been such a power for the past few years. There were just so many good ones, even on her own team, they couldn't all be on the first team.

[player_tooltip player_id='721753' first='Kennedy' last='Smith'] - Pin - Broadneck. Same as above, Kennedy is one of the best pins in the county, but this year they spread the offense around a little bit more than recent years in trying to incorporate players into new spots and spread the offense around. Not a knock on her, just too many people out there.

Lizzie Ranaghan - Pin - Severna Park. She was a big lynch pin offensively for Severna Park and a balance to the great setter/libero combo they were running out there as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='735308' first='Audrey' last='Estabillo'] - Pin - South River. Audrey probably would have made this list somewhere as a DS this season, but with the revamped back row there, she was shifted to help at the net, which you can see the trend continuing in the county. She had a very good year hitting for South River, and helped them end up in the top portion of the county.

Honorable Mention:

[player_tooltip player_id='731013' first='Ella' last='Strain'] - S - Crofton.

[player_tooltip player_id='850118' first='Sofia' last='Miga'] - S - Arundel.

Anjuli Morales - DS - Glen Burnie.

Falynn Tackett - DS - North County.

Lindsay Lyman - MH - Annapolis.

Amira Billingsley - Pin - Old Mill.

[player_tooltip player_id='545726' first='Miley' last='Keyes'] - Pin - Crofton.

[player_tooltip player_id='787925' first='Camryn' last='Bedell'] - Pin - Broadneck.

Gillian Price - Pin - Chesapeake.
