There are a few patterns we are already seeing and that big pattern would be athletes going to Minnesota. Here are the athletes going across the Mississippi for school to Minnesota.

St. Thomas, located in the heart of the Twin Cities in St. Paul has been on the up and up since joining the D1 ranks. They started the process in 2021 and become full D1 members in 2025 where all they did was win the Summit League Tournament title where they gave Iowa State a scare in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. They currently have Morgan Kealy (River Falls), Ellie Gustafson (Monticello), and Addie Schmotzer (Edgewood).

They will bring in four from the Class of 2027. [player_tooltip player_id='590014' first='Abby' last='Miller'] (Barron), [player_tooltip player_id='435890' first='Greta' last='Schreiber'] (Oconomowoc), [player_tooltip player_id='509327' first='Madelyn' last='Reesman'] (Burlington), and [player_tooltip player_id='487025' first='Nicalai' last='Eismann'] (Wisconsin Lutheran). Between high school and club ball, all of these athletes are accustomed to training and winning at a high level. [player_tooltip player_id='590014' first='Abby' last='Miller'] plays for Kokoro out of St. Paul, Minnesota where she is their libero. She was the libero for Barron High School when they won the D3 state title in 2024. [player_tooltip player_id='435890' first='Greta' last='Schreiber'] has had a big year where she is a lethal blocker and attacker on the right side. Her length gives a lot of problems to opponents. Reesman and Eismann will be the type of players who can contribute in multiple ways. They have all around games where they can serve receive, pass, and score points from the outside and backcourt.

The Northern Sun is one of the top D2 conferences in the country. Wisconsin only has one D2 school in UW-Parkside and for athletes to head to Minnesota to play D2 can be very appealing. [player_tooltip player_id='510424' first='Ava' last='Stuebs'] has already won two state titles for Manitowoc Lutheran where she is one of the top point scoring outsides in the state. She gave her verbal to Concordia St. Paul in December shortly after they won the Division 2 national championship. She will suit up for [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] 17 Navy this weekend as they take on the Badger Region Qualifier in Milwaukee. For [player_tooltip player_id='565640' first='Alexis' last='Halverson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='701235' first='Brooke' last='Dusek'], the Kokoro athletes will head to Minnesota State Mankato. Halverson is a lefty right side hitter who packs a punch. She hits a heavy ball and is also someone who can score points in the backrow as well. She has teamed up with St. Thomas commit [player_tooltip player_id='590014' first='Abby' last='Miller'] on the high school and club courts where they won the 2024 state title and advanced to the 2025 state semifinals. [player_tooltip player_id='701235' first='Brooke' last='Dusek'] preps for Wisconsin power in River Falls High School. She had a breakout junior season for the Wildcats. As a sophomore Dusek had 77 kills where as a junior she had 369 kills with 275 digs. There is a big upside to the game of Dusek whose length and athleticism has a major upside at the next level.
