She does a great job reading opposing hitters and setters, moves into position and stops to make precise passes. She provides good net coverage and gets her hands up quick on blocked balls. Hess can step in at setter and take quality swings on the outside. She has improved at getting on top of balls during club season. Hess adds solid first touches and makes things difficult at the net with her blocking skills. Brown uses her size to take nice swings and record quality blocks. She takes back set ones and sends them to different parts of the court. She can also tip to the shallow middle of the court. Pumphrey is a great one-on-one blocker. Gianzero can execute the pipe play from the back row and take quality line and cross shots. Gianzero can tip balls off blocks for big points and is reliable on first touches.
