College programs are beginning to take notice of the depth in Arizona's 2027 class, and many of these athletes have the tools, athleticism, and upside to make a major impact at the next level.

We will take some time to talk about some uncommitted 2027's from each position and our thoughts on how great their game is for the next level!

Setters:

[player_tooltip player_id='881806' first='Hailey' last='Johnston'] is our highest ranking uncommitted setter, and it is only a matter of time for her. She runs a very fast offense and is very good about changing directions on her sets during longer rallies. She isn't someone who just settles for taking the easy set but is able to but a ball on a hitter from across the court in a great location. College programs looking for impact talent should have her firmly on their recruiting radar as this season progresses. Her game should translate very well at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='888932' first='Makenna' last='Mooney'] is a setter who plays a great all around game. Always a threat on the net when she plays front, a good defender in the back row, and obviously some of the better hands out there. Her slide tempo and placement is always one to marvel at, she runs her middle extremely well and gets them involved early which only opens up the door for her pin hitters. It's only a matter of time before college programs begin to prioritize her in recruiting.

[player_tooltip player_id='889799' first='Lilli' last='Schmitt'] is a very athletic setter who has never seen a ball that is too tight for her not to get her hands on. She is someone who keeps getting better and better as the year goes on. She runs a very fast tempo ball to both her pins, and can run and use her middles effectively. She is also very intelligent and shows strong court IQ when in defense by picking up tips and reading dumps before they happen. Overall she continues to show steady growth and projects well for the college game

[player_tooltip player_id='913216' first='Sophia' last='Christiano'] is going to make a college very happy one of these days. She is a setter who can run a 5-1 to a very high level but while also being a huge threat on the offensive end as well. As a lefty she brings a different dimension to the game a righty can't. She swings when she is in the front row and makes blockers be accountable for her which gives her hitters massive seems, especially when the middles run the slide. Most importantly her all-around game gives her the potential to make an impact at the collegiate level from day 1.

[player_tooltip player_id='816637' first='Makenna' last='Murphy'] is an intriguing 2027 setter prospect who shows the poise and court awareness that college programs value at the position. She does a strong job running the offense, distributing the ball with consistency and giving her hitters opportunities to score in rhythm. Murphy shows good decision-making in transition and understands how to balance the offense across the court. She also brings defensive effort and competitiveness in the back row as a defender. She is going to be on some college radars as more and more people get to see her game, and should end up making an impact at the next level.

Pins:

[player_tooltip player_id='778035' first='Kalista' last='Fuller'] is someone who has a heavy arm swing and is fearless when she attacks. She needs multiple blockers in front of her just to slow her down. She is a presence at the net as well, and gets great block touches and does a good job closing the block with the middle. She does well in serve receive and defense and is a reliable 6 rotational player for her team. With continued development, she has the tools to become a strong recruiting target at the next level as a pin hitter.

[player_tooltip player_id='807547' first='Vega' last='Tunnell'] shows the ability to terminate in transition, attacking both cross-court and down the line, while mixing in off-speed shots to keep blockers guessing. In serve receive she also thrives, as she provides steady ball control and shows confidence passing under pressure. Vega has the foundation and upside that college programs look for in a developing prospect, and should be getting pick up pretty fast as her game continues to impress.

[player_tooltip player_id='835096' first='Lucy' last='Solorzano'] displays the traits coaches look for in a complete pin player. She attacks effectively, handles serve receive responsibilities, and competes defensively in the back row. She is able to lead her team in scoring when called upon but can also give points with her blocking or serving if needed. Her all-around game gives her strong long-term potential as scouts continue to check out the pins. She is going to be a high level pin at the next level!

[player_tooltip player_id='882559' first='Sami' last='Mondino'] is a powerful offensive force on the pin, and someone who is going to light it up at the next level. Front row, back row, it doesn't matter for Sami as she is a force all around the court. She also moves extremely well in both defense and serve receive while showing great technique with her passing and defense to keep her team in system. With her combination of skill, competitiveness, and upside this makes her a player worth tracking on the recruiting trail and someone colleges should take notice of.

[player_tooltip player_id='518443' first='Riley' last='Rooney'] is a fast player, she moves with purpose and always seems to get in a good position to hit the ball. She plays with confidence at the net and attacks aggressively, demonstrating the ability to create scoring opportunities from the pin. Her athleticism and developing skill set give her a solid foundation as she continues to refine her approach and shot selection. Her ability to impact the match in multiple phases makes her a strong long-term prospect at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='823795' first='Elana' last='Clark'] is a pin hitter who can play on both pins to a high level. The first thing you notice with her is the hang time she gets on her approach. She has a very high vertical and can absolutely hammer a ball on the offensive end. She is versatile and able to play on both pins while being able to contribute in so many areas and not just her offense. She has the kind of upside that programs look for in future contributors at the next level and should get picked up soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='826157' first='Emma' last='Minor'] is going to be a future 6 rotational pin in college, and should be able to contribute immediately when she arrives on campus in the future. She attacks aggressively from the left pin and shows the ability to score in both system and out-of-system situations. Most importantly her serve receive is reliable, allowing her to stay on the court for all six rotations, and she brings strong defensive instincts in the back row. She has the potential to become a cornerstone player for the right program based on her game right now.

Middles:

[player_tooltip player_id='557005' first='Kaitlin' last='James'] This 2027 middle blocker brings athleticism and mobility to the position. She transitions quickly from block to attack and covers ground well along the net. She terminates the ball at a efficient rate and is able to beat both single and double blocks. With her combination of physical tools and on-court composure, she projects as a reliable contributor in a competitive program. Her long-term upside makes her an intriguing prospect as recruiting opens up.

[player_tooltip player_id='848347' first='Aniah' last='Brown'] is one of the more fun middles to watch that hasn't committed yet. She is what I would call a physical 2027 middle blocker with a noticeable presence at the net. She shows solid blocking instincts and good hand positioning, allowing her to slow down opposing attacks. Offensively, she attacks confidently on quicks and continues to grow as a scoring option. She is quietly building a résumé that deserves more national attention and the attention of all colleges out there.

[player_tooltip player_id='878908' first='Emma' last='Caldwell'] is a well-rounded 2027 middle who contributes on both offense and defense. She blocks with discipline and runs effective quick attacks in the middle of the court. Her balanced game makes her a dependable presence in the front row. Most intriguing is that her ceiling is extremely high, and she has the tools to become a major recruit in the 2027 class as we continue to go about this season.
