2027 Recent Commits and Uncommitted Players to Watch

We wanted to check in on a group of recent commits (congratulations!) and unsigned 2027 players who are ready to break through. College programs should have these players on their radar. Worthen has been a highly efficient and consistent two-way player on the right side for Dakine 17 Navy this season. At 6'0", she has an excellent press as a blocker and connects with a high arm on her swing. The 2027 fron Black Hills High School has improved her eye-work and vision, she is seeing the block and hammering away when she has a one-up. When the block is well formed, Worthen has the feel to drop a stealthy tip to "4" or roll shot over the top of the block.     The six-rotation stand out from Eastlake helped her WVBA 17 Adidas team to a second-place finish at the Emerald City Classic- a terrific result for the squad in their hometown tournament. Pound is a skilled all-around player with size and a feel for scoring; she plays hard defensively and is well-coached at WVBA. She has a chip game she can break out when defenses are on their heels- she is accurate and drops it just out of reach for easy kills.     Okunami was the go-to attacker on her [program_tooltip program_id='747679' first='Emerald' last='Rain'] squad this club season. The North Kitsap prospect is a gifted scorer with a live arm; she plays hustling defense in the middle back and has excellent athleticism and solid size for a six-rotation outside at 5'9". Okunami is still developing her all-around game; she has the feel of a player who has not reached her ceiling and will make another jump as she continues to develop.     Holland can play the middle and the right side- she is a long 6'1" and has been well-trained playing at Sudden Impact. Her approach is smooth and repeatable coming off the right side; she adjusts well to sets and can hammer kills down the line or to the angle when the block is in place. Her smooth offensive game and size as a blocker will make an impact at the next level.     Donaldson played tough in the middle for Shockwave 18 this club season; she looks 6'0" and plays longer with a terrific reach as a blocker. The Kamiakin middle has expanded her offensive game- ripping cross-body kills, seeing the block, and making plays to score through, around, and off hands. Donaldson has always been a strong locker, and that part of her game has improved as well- she is patient and smart, making strong moves and adjustments to get her hands to the ball.    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Recent 2027 Verbal Commitments</h2>   We gather recent signings from Sports Recruits, social media, and club websites, among other sources. Here are six recent verbal commitments for the class of 2027.    The dynamic OH/DS/L has been excellent for NPJ 17 Portland National during the club season, taking care of business as a scorer on the pin and as a defensive standout. She will stay in the Pacific Northwest and play college volleyball for Seattle University in the West Coast Conference.     Knapp is a smart player with a great feel for shutting down opposing hitters. She has been excellent for Dakine, moving her swings around the block, seeing openings in the defense, and having great patience and vision as an attacker and blocker. She will play her college ball at Northwest Nazarene in Nampa, Idaho, a great pick up for Coach Doug English.     Lind will be staying in Washington- committing to Central Washington of the GNAC. The Division 2 school in Ellensburg is a consistent force in its league and frequently reaches the Division 2 Championship Tournament. Both Western and Central do a terrific job keeping talented in-state players home and competing at the top level nationally. Lind's hustle and toughness will fit in well with the gritty, all-out nature of past and present Wilcat defenders.     The lefty hammer from Ridgeline in the Spokane Valley will play her college ball at Utah Tech. The Trailblazers are moving from the WAC to the Big Sky, playing against the Montana teams and Eastern Washington, among others. Allred has continued to grow her game with CPA 17 Benson, improving her change-of-pace shots and off-block defense this season.     Cal Poly Humboldt is doing an excellent job recruiting Oregon and Washington- Nelson will be an outstanding addition on the pin for the Lumberjacks. The Curtis standout has been a pure winner at the high school and club levels; Nelson is a terrific athlete who will give the Jacks a dynamic option on the outside.
