2027 Setters to See in Indy

<p>It's time! 2026 Girls Junior National Championships are here and the volleyball world is ready for play. We've talked about or big time players at the net, now it's time to move on to our play makers. Oh yea, setters you're up! The job is not easy and the demand is high for tempo, consistency, and energy. Kills don't happen on their own, so let's talk about the players delivering the ball on a silver platter. She has what it takes to be on the court all 6 and play with efficiency. Her size gives her an advantage at the net, becoming an offensive threat for her team. She runs a quick tempo for her hitters and does well meeting the ball in the air off her jump set. Size and speed are only one side of Lola's game, as her energy fuels her teams confidence in play and her defense translates into points. A setter that can score, defend, assist, and encourage, that's the combo of an elite. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='359399' first='Kamryn' last='Mullican'], 6 rotation setter for [program_tooltip program_id='510733' first='Drive' last='Nation'] 17 Red, pushes the tempo of the game. From the first ball she is looking to take things up a notch, pushing her hitters to approach and swing as fast as she can deliver it. At the net she becomes a threat with her left handed swing. Catching opponents off guard as she moves around the block and places the ball with intent. Kamryn trusts her hitters when she's behind the ball and consistently finds ways to score. She is clearly a key for [program_tooltip program_id='510733' first='Drive' last='Nation'] 17 Red.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='433654' first='Maia' last='Raleigh'], setter for Skyline 17 Royal Sean, keeps the game flowing. She sets a quick tempo and trusts her hitters to match pace. Setting with zero hesitation, putting her teammates in position to swing effectively. Maia runs the court with a confidence and trust in her team, her court and game awareness show off the IQ she has for the game. Knowing her team and her abilities leave room for a level of play that looks effortless when she is on the court, exactly the type of collected energy needed going into Nationals.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='518965' first='Sophee' last='Peterson'], our PD #1 ranked player going into this season. Setting 6 rotations for TAV 17 Black Jon. She runs a quick and seamless tempo at the net, meeting the ball in the air and pushing her hitters to match pace. Sophee commands the court all game long and remains composed in the tightest of situations. Showing off the high IQ and training, she leads with confidence in her teams ability to get the job done. Starting off strong with a serve that causes trouble and moving the ball around effortlessly to keep defenders on their toes, Sophee is bringing all the heat to play.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">2027 LS Setters </h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='534332' first='Tinsley' last='Welker-Brown'], a dynamic setter for [program_tooltip program_id='510661' first='Houston' last='Skyline'] 17 Royal. A power house on the court, Tinsley brings speed, agility and energy to every game. She moves the ball well and makes herself a threat to defenses as well. Her size and quick footwork let opponents know to be ready for anything. She reads the court well and utilizes her teammates effectively, showing off her knowledge of the game. If fun competitive volleyball is what you seek, do not miss Tinsley Welker in the court.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='534407' first='Reina' last='Jones'], lefty setter for HJV 17 Elite, starts her game off with a troubling serve. Putting her team ahead early with energy and confidence behind her serve, then delivering an even tempo set for her hitters. She moves the ball well across the net, utilizing each of her hitters to open up many scoring options throughout play. Reina influences the game with her size and speed, making her difficult to anticipate across the net. Her consistency on every ball, means blockers have to stay true and cantered if they want to keep up with her.</p>
