Five Players Certain to Make Initial 2030 Watch List

This list has around 50 so far. It will grow as more and more members of this class emerge, especially in the fall. Here are five names to know from that list.    Brock (pictured) looks to give Hillsboro sone great options in the middle in the fall. Brock has great size and a solid vertical jump to influence the net. Brock smacks balls all over the court and puts great power into balls. She has good timing on her solo and double blocks, but reaches her hands out when opponents try to hit around her.     Seider makes sure to set hitters at high attack points so they can hit balls over and around blocks. She consistently puts balls in their power zones. Seider has amazing touch for her age. Seider executes a variety of sets including back sets, mixing up where balls are going. She sends out of system sets back toward the net so hitters can take great swings on them. Seider could make a difference for the Cavaliers this fall with her work ethic.     Brown does not take any plays for granted. Brown has a good platform to make crisp fist contacts. Brown lunges after balls, but stays under control. Brown handles well-struck line shots and is not afraid to stick one arm out to keep plays alive. Brown makes solid out of system sets putting hitters in position to succeed.     Johnson is turning into a sound hitter. She has a strong approach, extension and finish. Johnson is especially tough on go routes. She mixes in different off shots to keep opponents guessing. Johnson also smacks down overpassed balls. She is coachable, so she takes knowledge and tries to use it to improve her game.     Borendame makes smooth first touches for 14 Black. She uses a good platform and faces her feet toward targets. She only lunges for balls out of necessity, yet stays under control. Borendame will stick out one arm to keep plays alive. Borendame sends good out of system sets back toward the net. Borendame brings great enthusiasm to the court. Her development will be something to watch during high school.
