Avery looked really good at our showcase and has all the makings in her to be a good player moving forward. She already has a great arm on her, and she gets a lot of whip behind the ball when she swings. She has a lot of range to her shots, and doesn’t just rely on hitting cross. She can hit down the line, hard angle, and the off speed shot when needed. I also lied how loud she is with her communication and energy during game play. She seems to really love the game and was always cheering, communicating about sets, and being a great team player. She has more to her game besides her offense as she is fluid with her movement and gets her feet in a good position to pass in both serve receive and defense. Overall Avery has a lot to like about her game today, and we are excited to see where she goes over the next year with her game!

It’s hard to believe Avery Moody Avery Moody 5'8" | OH/DS/L AZ is only an incoming eighth grader because she competes with a maturity well beyond her years. From the moment she stepped on the court, her confidence, composure, and presence stood out. If you didn’t know her age, you would never guess she was one of the youngest athletes in the gym. She carries herself with a level of poise and court awareness that many older players are still developing.

What makes Avery especially fun to watch is the passion she brings to the game. She celebrates big plays, competes with tremendous energy, and has the kind of fire that coaches love to see. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and she consistently finds ways to lift up the players around her. Just as importantly, she handles adversity well, quickly shaking off mistakes and moving on to the next play with confidence and positivity.

From a volleyball standpoint, Avery already possesses strong fundamentals on both sides of the ball. Her mechanics are polished in the front row and back row, allowing her to contribute in multiple phases of the game. She plays with purpose, understands the flow of the game, and consistently makes smart decisions. Combined with her upbeat personality and team-first mindset, she’s the type of athlete every coach wants in the gym.

The future is incredibly bright for Avery. With her skill set, competitive spirit, and love for the game, she has all the tools to continue developing into a special player. She’s already making an impact against older competition, and we’re excited to watch her growth over the coming years.

Avery Moody Avery Moody 5'8" | OH/DS/L AZ proved to be a very dynamic athlete on the court during the tournament. She was an offensive threat in every rotation, creating scoring opportunities both from the back row and at the net. Whether attacking from the pin or staying available in transition, Avery brought confidence and versatility to her team’s offense.

In serve receive, she was calm, steady, and consistent, delivering quality passes that allowed her team to stay in system. Her ability to contribute offensively from both pins made her even more difficult for opponents to defend.

Beyond the physical aspects of her game, Avery also demonstrated strong leadership and poise throughout the weekend. She communicated well, stayed composed in key moments, and helped keep her team organized on the floor. Her presence, both as a competitor and as a leader, made a noticeable impact on her team’s success.
