The USA Volleyball Junior National Club Championship brings together the best club programs in the country under one roof in Indianapolis, and Prep Dig will be on the floor to scout the field from the very start. As part of the pre-tournament showcase on June 24th at the Indiana Convention Center, several Prep Dig state-ranked prospects and those who are currently unranked but also very intriguing prospects to be from across the country will step onto the court before the main event begins. College coaches looking to get an early read on the next wave of talent would do well to circle the following names before the tournament tipping schedule fills their notebooks. Let's take a look at a few of the names who will be in attendance.

Miss Hall carries a dual designation as a setter and outside hitter in the Prep Dig Indiana 2029 rankings, which points to an athlete with the offensive instincts and physical versatility to function in multiple system roles. At 5'9", she has the height to operate as a setter-right side, a profile college programs have aggressively targeted in recent years because of the blocking dimension it adds on the right side of the net. Our court coaches and scouts will see whether she shows the release point and deception at the top of her sets that a taller setter can generate and whether her decision-making in transition reflects a player who understands the position or one still building that vocabulary. So far what we see from her film online is a player that deserves recognition for her skills. I am very intrigued to see her in person and see how she competes against everyone else.

[player_tooltip player_id='920119' first='Natalie' last='Chung'] is one of the tallest setters on this entire showcase roster regardless of class. At 5'10”, her height at the setter position adds a dimension that college coaches rarely find at the prep level. What adds a lot of intrigue is the evaluation runway ahead for Chung is substantial given that she still has her entire high school career in front of her. The physical profile draws the first look, but what will keep coaching staffs watching is whether she sets with consistency across all tempos, how she uses her length to disguise at the point of release and whether her volleyball IQ is advancing at a rate that matches her physical development. A 5'10" setter in the class of 2030 with a state ranking warrants a prolonged evaluation in Indianapolis. I will be front and center to see her in action and will report out on what we evaluate about her so stay tuned.

Miss Ahn is already on the Fairfax varsity roster and has earned a Prep Dig state ranking in the 2029 class, which signals that her defensive skills have been consistently visible against competition older than her. As a libero, the attributes that matter most are platform discipline on first contact, lateral range and floor coverage and the composure she shows when a serve or attack puts her in a recovery situation. The national showcase in Indianapolis is a meaningful step up in competition and the way she responds to that elevated level of play will tell evaluators a great deal about how her profile will develop as she moves through her high school years. From what we see so far in her highlight reels is someone who looks like they deserve some looks from scouts, so we will get to see her in action in person. We are very excited to have the opportunity to evaluate her skills.
