The USA Volleyball Junior National Club Championship brings together the best club programs in the country under one roof in Indianapolis, and Prep Dig will be on the floor to scout the field from the very start. As part of the pre-tournament showcase on June 24th at the Indiana Convention Center, several Prep Dig state-ranked prospects and those who are currently unranked but also very intriguing prospects to be from across the country will step onto the court before the main event begins. College coaches looking to get an early read on the next wave of talent would do well to circle the following names before the tournament tipping schedule fills their notebooks. Let's take a look at a few of the names who will be in attendance.

When you are six feet tall in the class of 2030 as a middle blocker, that is a conversation that starts itself. [player_tooltip player_id='943861' first='Arlene' last='Garrick'] out of First Baptist Academy in Naples brings the kind of frame to the Indianapolis showcase that college coaches routinely drive across state lines to evaluate and she has not yet entered her high school career yet. Florida produces elite volleyball talent at a consistent rate, and FBA runs a competitive program in the Southwest Florida corridor that gives its athletes legitimate court time and development opportunities. Garrick's block shape, footwork in transition, and ability to move through the system laterally will be the primary things to evaluate on June 24th, because at this class and this height, the ceiling is the conversation. From what we can see in her highlight film, she will fare very well against top competition and we cannot wait to see it in person. We strongly suggest that you check her out during the showcase.

Gaither is a Tampa-area program that plays in one of the more competitive regions in Florida high school volleyball and [player_tooltip player_id='841547' first='Alaysia' last='Byam'] has already established herself as a prospect worth tracking out of the 2030 class. Although only listed at 5'6" as an outside hitter, we see that she can jump well and has great timing. Byam's game will need to be built on platform mechanics, serve receive consistency, and the ability to create separation at the point of attack through timing if she wishes to battle against taller competition. We hear that she is ready and willing to prove herself on the court and we cannot wait to see during the showcase. Her attributes will develop over time but they will also show up clearly in a showcase setting, where the athleticism and IQ of a player become visible quickly. Coaches evaluating outside hitters in the younger classes should put Byam on their list for June 24th.

Prep Dig scouts have noted that [player_tooltip player_id='769915' first='Alaina' last='Sloan'] is seeing varsity playing time at Cathedral, one of the premier programs in Indiana, and that her length and stride allow her to cover ground and deliver the ball at a high release point with deception across all tempos. At 5'10", she is the tallest of the setters in this showcase group, and that dimension is not lost on the college coaches who will be watching from the stands at the Indiana Convention Center. Cathedral reached the 3A Semistate round in 2024 as one of the state's top programs, giving Sloan a competitive home environment that demands execution every time she steps on the floor. Playing in front of a national audience at a showcase hosted in her own backyard should only add to the intrigue for staffs who have been waiting for a chance to see her in open competition for the first time. I am very intrigued to see her in action and will be watching very closely. You should also.
