These gems still deserve a share of the recruiting spotlight.

Yes, we've heard a lot of recent buzz about the Class of 2028. We've contributed to that chatter, too. However, we still have a vast pool of recruitable seniors-to-be who are still making waves on the club scene. Several are about to compete for club volleyball's biggest prize.

Our GJNC preview season is officially underway. Indianapolis is about to become a late-summer convergence point for the nation's best prep athletes, and Nebraska will be well represented. College recruiters will have a vested interest in this venue while seeking out future stars for their program. 2027s are still in the mix.

Find a do-everything player who can change any phase of the ball control game. Bowman fits that description and has done it against the nation's best. She has been a masterful distributor throughout her prep career at Grand Island Northwest, producing over nine assists per set in her past two years with the Vikings. Her role with Nebraska ONE 17 Synergy is adaptive and ever-changing, revealing Bowman's willingness to shoulder any role to help her squad. This came to fruition as Synergy locked up its elusive Open bid at NEQ, and Bowman is ready to take that show on the road again.

We're heading out west! Wild West 17-1 Diamonds had their shining moment at the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament, locking up a 17 Freedom berth through some heroic Day 2 performances. Lemmer was one of the standouts from this North Platte-based crew, and we shouldn't be surprised to see this setter thriving. She has been a past standout on the Prep Dig Circuit and has been forged in the crucible of Class A competition. A trip to Indy will bring Lemmer's stock to its highest point yet.

Small-town influence prevails in 17 Freedom. We're thrilled to see Antelope Volleyball Club's 17 Blue crew joining WWVA in the 17 Freedom field, giving this division some serious western Nebraska flair. Evert is another perfect torchbearer for this group. The multi-sport star has set a high standard at Gothenburg High School, logging triple-digit kill totals in each of her last two campaigns with the Swedes. This versatility narrative expands when watching Evert compete on the volleyball court. She can slot into either pin position, giving 17 Blue a go-to scorer around the dial. April's bid tournament brought a perfect reminder of Nebraska's strong rural roots, even on the club side.

Wiedel helped engineer one of Nebraska's most extraordinary qualifier triumphs of the spring season. The Thayer Central standout brought her stellar setting and lockdown defense down south with Nebraska Juniors 17 Black. The Lone Star Classic is a notoriously difficult venue loaded with Texas powerhouses, but Wiedel was not deterred. 17 Black climbed to the 17 Liberty podium and elevated gems like Wiedel into our 2027 spotlight. No matter what contributions Nebraska Juniors gets from Wiedel, she is bound to make an impression in Indianapolis.

Some athletes are ready-made for the next level, even if they blur the lines between positions. Kollars is the perfect example of a long, fluid presence who can make her impact in the middle or on the right. We've grown accustomed to Club Legacy 17 Alpha taking over matches through their show-stopping physicality, and Kollars is an indispensable part of that equation. She made considerable gains as a starter with Omaha Skutt Catholic, one of Nebraska's most recognizable high school juggernauts. Kollars has cemented a similar niche with Club Legacy.

Eberspacher has seen no shortage of dramatic, nail-biting matches during her tenure with VCNebraska. We have fond memories of her team's triumph at last year's bid tournament, but VCN 17 Black was determined to secure this year's bid through the qualifier gauntlet. It all came together at the Show Me Qualifier, where Eberspacher's power and steady serve-receive presence set the tone. The Seward star shone in three-set matches to secure 17 Black's spot on the podium. Summer goals remain the same.

Johnson's climb up the Premier Nebraska ladder has provided ample reason to keep this Papio South senior on recruiting radars. However, the proving grounds of USAV Nationals could spur Johnson's momentum even more. She has ample experience guiding any offensive system, whether it's a 5-1 or a two-setter lineup. Johnson makes aggressive transitions out of the right-back area, allowing her to track down whatever first contact she's given. Her performance under pressure took precedence against regional foes this year, and the result was a 17 American bid. A deep run is in the cards for Premier Nebraska 17 Black.
