That's how we finish strong.

Our coverage lens of GJNC's opening wave was firmly focused on the 15s. Indianapolis was the convergence point for the nation's best rising sophomores, and the Heart of America Region loomed large in the championship race. Kansas and Missouri 15s were ready to lay the foundation for future success--and become the stars of the present.

Let's explore the Wave 1 leaderboard to identify which Heart of America 15s are flying high into the fall season.

[program_tooltip program_id='430200' first='KC' last='[program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']'] 15-1

Fast starts yielded strong finishes.

We've been all over [program_tooltip program_id='430200' first='KC' last='[program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']']'s preeminence among the region's 15s contenders. This group was tabbed as a team to watch in the 15 Open extravaganza, and we highlighted [program_tooltip program_id='430200' first='KC' last='[program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']'] again in the aforementioned "fast starts" feature. This HOA frontrunner finished it off with an appearance in the Gold quarterfinals, placing highest among the region's entrants in the division.

Hudson

A cast of familiar stars piloted the fifth-place effort. [player_tooltip player_id='938175' first='Brylie' last='Milo'] maintained her niche as the left-side leader, but [player_tooltip player_id='557372' first='Piper' last='Hudson'] also enjoyed a breakout weekend on the right. This opened up opportunities for Kylie Workizer and Trinity Mabion to operate at the net.

Of course, ball control remains a foundational component of [program_tooltip program_id='430200' first='KC' last='[program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']'] triumphs. That's where Isabel Galmarini and [player_tooltip player_id='780519' first='Alaina' last='McGuire'] have formed an extraordinary 1-2 tandem to keep that patented in-system flow.

[program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] 15 Elite

Of course, we had to give another nod to the [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] camp.

Like [program_tooltip program_id='430200' first='KC' last='[program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']'] 15-1, [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] 15 Elite was a subject of our early Wave 1 coverage in Indianapolis. It was hard to miss this squad's high-level operation in the 15 National division, culminating in an 8-2 overall mark. Only the pesky challenge round kept this HOA competitor out of the Gold bracket.

This allows us to give a few more player shoutouts from this stacked lineup. We need some middle representation here, and the duo of Abigail Pendergraph and [player_tooltip player_id='909872' first='Talia' last='Francis'] earned their keep in the Circle City. [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] has built an impenetrable wall of physicality, and that extends to the opposite position, too. [player_tooltip player_id='888986' first='Aleah' last='Ulberg'] and [player_tooltip player_id='747441' first='Allison' last='Howe'] deserve their due credit on the right antenna.

[program_tooltip program_id='430200' first='KC' last='[program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']'] 15-2

Well, it's an all-around victory lap for [program_tooltip program_id='430200' first='KC' last='[program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']'].

We shift from 15 Open to 15 USA, where more Kansas City contenders came to play. More quality ball control can be found with 15-2, which operated through star liberos like Ava Barchers and Marykate Johnson. This allowed ultra-physical setter [player_tooltip player_id='782452' first='Jacqueline' last='Elliott'] to feed her cast of hammers at the net, led by Adler Petermann and Rylee Barnes.

The full armada flexed its might en route to a six-match winning streak to close out GJNC. [program_tooltip program_id='430200' first='KC' last='[program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']'] may have endured its ups and downs at the start of 15 USA play, but the finish will leave a positive impression before the upcoming high school slate.

CSDP Volleyball Club 15-1

Here's where we venture over to the Missouri side.

Springfield's CSDP 15-1 made a habit of racking up wins on the regional circuit, but the team proved its worth against national foes, too. 15-1 nabbed a top-five placement in 15 USA at the Show Me Qualifier, so expectations were high for this weekend's foray in 15 National.

A diverse cast of attackers led by Peyton Fisher, Jillian Elet, and Ava Rone guided CSDP to a 6-4 overall record, highlighted by a 3-0 start in opening-round pool play. We also have our eyes on hidden gems like Atley Wood and Josie Juarez, both of whom have become major first-contact contributors for CSDP.

This is one of South Central Missouri's finest lineups.

573 15 Premier C

We're now in the heart of the Show Me State.

If CSDP 15-1 has a firm grip on Springfield, 573 15 Premier C might stake the same claim on Jefferson City. This [program_tooltip program_id='490801' first='Missouri' last='Juniors'] crew earned some shoutouts as a high seed in the Show Me Qualifier, eventually cashing in with a 15 Liberty bid in home territory. The wins kept rolling in at GJNC to cap the season with a winning postseason record.

We have a lot of Missouri 2029s to keep on our radar after 573's late-season emergence. The roster is loaded with pin talent, particularly with Chloe Chiteri and [player_tooltip player_id='912746' first='Kylie' last='Goans'] taking turns on the right antenna. It also helps to have [player_tooltip player_id='934812' first='Claire' last='Kempker'] and Addisyn Williams as two worthy setter options to pilot various offensive systems.

That's how we finish strong.
