Rising Pin Attackers Leave Their Mark at the PrepDig Showcase

The pin hitters at the PrepDig Freshman Showcase in Cedarburg proved that the future of Wisconsin volleyball is in good sights. This group featured an impressive combination of height, power, and athleticism, with several athletes showing the ability to score from all over the court. Whether it was explosive swings, confident play in transition, or excellent passing, the talent on display was impossible to ignore. If this showcase was any indication, this class of young pin hitters is on track to become one of the state's most exciting groups in the years to come.    Taylor is an elite pin hitter for the class of 2031. As an outside hitter, she showed why she dominates the pin and that she is a six rotation option. She can pass and put the ball away. She mighty quick arm swing allowed her to score and get to the ball before the block was up in front of her. Her athleticism to get off the ground had her hitting over the top of the block and leaving dents in the floor.     Elianna is a high level attacker for the class of 2030. Just by watching her for a few plays, you can tell she works hard to perfect the little things. Her approach and platform are smooth and come very natural to her. Her determination to be good at every aspect of the game really showed in her gameplay. She jumps out of the gym which allowed her to hit high and have great vision of the court to score.     Alaina is a pin hitter with a high contact point above the net, giving her the ability to have great court vision and score. She is a super hard worker, in even long rallies she hustled in treason and made sure she was an option forh er setter. She stood out as a premier right side and made it very clear that she is able to compete with top level talent.     Layne is a highlight righ side, she brought the power and IQ to the pin. She was agressive at the net and always called for the ball. If one shot didnt score for her, she alwasyc ame back with something else which proved her knowledge of the game.     Ella showcased her all around ability throughout the showcase, making an impact both offensively and in serve receive. She did a great job handling hard driven serves, taking speed off the ball and proving she can be a reliable passer in the back row. At the net, Ella played with confidence, showing poise and attacking ability from the pin. Her versatility and willingness to contribute in multiple areas make her an exciting player to watch as she continues to improve.     Georgia put together a well rounded performance, showing she can contribute in multiple elements of the game. She proved to be a reliable passer in serve receive while also making smart offensive decisions from the pin. Rather than relying solely on power, Georgia did a nice job of using the block to her advantage, finding hands to score. This made it difficult for the defense to keep up and know what her game plan was everytime she went up to swing. Defensively, she was active at the net and consistently earned positive touches on the block, disrupting opposing attacks and creating opportunities for her team.     Addie showed up to the showcase with skill in every volleyball aspect. From a strong float serve, ability to run a strong and quick offense, to scrappy defense, and also an insane offensive presence. She is truly an all around player and could play any position given. Her power on the pins really stood out to me and made her so fun to watch. To think she is only a freshman in high school, only raises the bar to where her potential will take her.     Brooke brought the heat from the outside, showcasing a dynamic approach and the ability to generate power on the attack. She played with grit, consistently taking aggressive swings and putting pressure on opposing defenses. In addition to her offensive presence, Brooke stood out in serve receive, displaying solid ball control and composure against tough serves. Her combination of attacking ability and dependable passing makes her a well rounded pin with plenty of upside.
