Whether it was a big club season, noticeable growth in their all around game, or simply becoming more consistent every time we saw them, these athletes continue to trend in the right direction. She reads the attack well and understands how to put herself in the right spot defensively, rather than simply standing behind the block. Her positioning allows her to cover more court and consistently make plays. A recent commit to NDSU, Rivard is quick, steady, and a clear leader in the backcourt. She excels defensively, reads the game well, and consistently puts herself in position to make plays. She is quick to the ball, has a fast arm swing, and does a great job seeing the block in front of her. Eggert brings an impressive combination of athleticism and power, but she also has the finesse to vary her shots and find different ways to score. She has developed into a versatile attacker who can hit the gap, run the slide, and find ways to get herself open even when she has limited time or space to transition. At the net, Sievers reads well, moves quickly, and does a good job getting her hands in position to slow down opposing attackers. I had the chance to watch her early in the season and then again toward the end, and the growth in her overall game was easy to see. Her serve, passing, defense, and other non-attacking skills have continued to develop, helping turn her into a dependable six rotation outside. She looks natural at the position, especially when it comes to her spacing, timing, and quick arm swing. She gets on top of the ball in a hurry and attacks with heat, making her difficult for opposing defenses to slow down.
