Making Their Mark: Minnesota Volleyball’s Latest 1000 Milestones

Whether it is kills, assists, or digs, hitting that number takes consistency, years of hard work, and the ability to perform at a high level night after night. Over the past few weeks, several players across Minnesota have reached that impressive mark, with some doing so early in their high school careers and others putting an exclamation point on years of varsity volleyball. The setter recorded her 1,000th career assist at a tournament last weekend, then followed it up Tuesday night by breaking the school record for career assists. Peck has been racking up assists since her sophomore season and continues to run the court for a Dover team currently ranked No. 10 in Class AA. She does a great job directing the offense, getting her attackers involved, and putting her hitters in position to score. A dominant presence on the court, she has consistently been a go-to attacker and proven she can terminate at a high level. The senior setter has been a key piece for Central Minnesota Christian and continues to lead the way for a team that is off to an impressive 8-0 start. Duininck does a great job running the offense, getting her attackers involved, and providing a steady presence on the court. With several years of varsity experience already under her belt, Mathiasen has spent plenty of time running the offense, finding her attackers, and piling up assists. The Cotter libero has been racking up digs since stepping onto the varsity court as an eighth grader and has developed into a steady presence in the back row. The libero has been playing high level volleyball for years and has established herself as a steady and reliable presence in the backcourt. Hardle reads the court well, covers a ton of ground, and consistently keeps balls alive for her team.
