Weekend Rewind – Dashers, Patriots Highlight Tournament Wins

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We're closing out the weekend with more tournament winners!&nbsp; There are plenty of teams who are generating momentum heading into October.&nbsp; We are seeing statements made by teams who are looking for top seeds in their section.&nbsp; We are also seeing some rematches (sometimes multiple) where we're beyond round one.&nbsp; Let's take a look at some tournament winners from over the weekend of September 26th.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Dashers Take Down Ocon…Again At The Sprawl </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Lynn LaPorte Sprawl is always another measuring stick for the top large school teams out of Milwaukee as well as some from the rest of the state.&nbsp; DSHA and Oconomowoc came in as the top seeds and thats how things would finish for these schools with the Dashers taking down Oconomowoc 15-13 in set three to claim the title.&nbsp; The trio of attackers for DSHA in [player_tooltip player_id='808030' first='Maia' last='Kerry'], [player_tooltip player_id='545505' first='Tegan' last='Loechler'], and [player_tooltip player_id='587062' first='Harper' last='Wendlick'] did plenty of damage where they combined for 27 of their 33 overall kills.&nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id='435890' first='Greta' last='Schreiber'], the St. Thomas commit for Ocon had an impressive match with 11 kills on 14 attempts and no errors.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This will be the final tournament before the postseason where Oconomowoc and DSHA could meet.&nbsp; Oconomowoc will be heading to the Neenah tournament this upcoming weekend and the Westosha Central Smash on October 10. DSHA will head to Chicago to take on the the Asics Challenge at Mother McAuley which will draw some national powers.&nbsp; They will host their own tournament on October 10.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Series in 2026 between DSHA and Oconomowoc</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>August 29 - Oconomowoc 2-0, 25-15, 26-25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>September 4 - DSHA 3-0, 26-24, 25-21, 25-17</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>September 19 - DSHA 2-1 25-19, 23-25, 15-9</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>September 26 - DSHA 2-1, 25-14, 13-25, 15-13</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kettle Moraine Lutheran and Mukwonago had a big weekend at the Sprawl as well.&nbsp; KML came in as 15 seed and went 3-0 in their opening pool with wins over Wisconsin Lutheran, Brookfield East, and Waukesha West.&nbsp; In their gold pool they took down Kimberly and Cedarburg.
